Jen's POV

Me and Lisa didn't talked to each other. She tried talking to me but i was ignoring her. I know that i'm going to die sooner or later. But i can't do anything about it.
Rosé is trying to comfort me.

"Jen. Lisa is texting you. You should answer them." Rosé said.

"No, Rosé. Please just delete them." I said.

"Stop playing hard to get now. Lisa can handle it, she's matured now Jen." Rosé said.

"I can't. I don't want her to be sad because of me."

"At least answer it."

"No. If i'm going to answer it, we're going to talk then meet. Which we can't. So please just delete them." Rosé just nodded when i said that. I'm sorry Lisa but i can't.
Rosé left so i went downstairs.
My mother was sitting on the couch.

I grabbed my laptop and went to a dating app. I need my mother to be happy. I need someone to make her happy.
While scrolling down, my mother came.

"Hey. Want to order some chinese food?" she asked.

"Yuh." I said.

"Is that a yeah? And what are you doing?" She sat beside me.

"I'm looking a man for you." I said.

"Whaaaat?" She asked while laughing.

"Yes. Look here, best mom in the world, loves photography, loves travelling-"

"Honey i don't travel." She said.

"Mom, look. You lost dad and now you're going to lose me too." I said.

"No, Jen. That's not happening..."

"Mom we always knew that there will be the time that i'm going to die. We just made our hopes high. So please, go and find a man that will make you happy." I held my mom's hand.

"No no no..." My mom started to cry.

"Mom, i need you to be strong. I want you to be happy. So please, now, go and pick a man. Do whatever makes you happy. Take beautiful pictures out there."  I looked at my mother.

"Promise me that you're going to be selfish this time."

"You're not going to die... And no i won't find a man."

"Mom, having someone to share your memories with, it's the best part of our lives." I Hugged my mom.

"Okay sweetie, i promise."

"Can we order Chinese food now?"

We ordered Chinese food after that. We were watching Riverdale. After an hour, someone knocked the door.

"Finally! The food's here!" I opened the door and saw Lisa holding a bag of Chinese food. I quickly closed the door.

"Oh no. Lisa's here." I said.

"I know. I called her." My mom said.

"What?! Why?" She asked.

"We met earlier when i was walking. She seem pretty good. I know you love her. And you said, having someone to share your memories with, is the best part of our lives. So now, go talk to her." She said.

I went out and looked at Lisa.

"I-I'm sorry Lisa..." I began.

"Jen, this is not something you can't just not tell me." She said.

"I know, i'm sorry. I tried to but i was scared. Lisa, we both know we were not going to work. I mean, we're not meant to be i guess."

"No Jen. We can." She said.

"Lisa, sooner or later i'm going to die. I don't want you to be hurt because of me. So i'm saying goodbye Lisa. Goodbye." I said. She was going but she suddenly stop walking.

"You know, that was the worst break up speech ever."

"What?" I asked.

"It's lame!" She said while laughing.

"I never did this! But seriously Lisa, we can't." I said while sitting on the stairs. She sat beside me.

"We can. I've done my research on XP and i know exactly what you have. Jen, you've change me. You've changed my life. I'm the happiest human on earth while being with you. We're a couple that fights. Okay? So please, let me make you happy." Lisa said while holding my hand. I couldn't help but to cry. I'm so lucky to have her.

"Alright" i said then hugged her.

The next day.

Lisa started swimming again. She has a competition today. I'm wearing hoodie and pants. So the sun will not touch my skin. I hope Lisa will win.
The competition has started. Lisa was leading.

"You're so close Lisa!! go!! Woohh!" The people cheered her. After a few minutes she came back. She won. First place.

I went back to my car with the special windows. I can see Lisa being greeted by her friends.
Lisa walked towards our car.

"Hey Ms. Kim. Can i take out Jennie later?" I heard her.

"Sure." my mom said.

Lisa touched my window, so i did the same. I'm so lucky to have this girl.
