Dictionary definition-

1. the state or quality of being or becoming perfect.

2. the highest degree of proficiency, skill, or excellence, as in some art.

3. a perfect embodiment or example of something.

Teens definition-

1. Not a single flaw on the flesh of your skin.

As to who do you call perfect?

The girl with all the boys and has many friends?

The smart-talented guy that sits in front of you in English?

The kid that is always happy?

Or...

The girl that is so family orientated that she lives the lifestyle in peace with one another...

None of the above.

Now tell me honestly, when is the last time your whole family sat around your dining room table and enjoyed everyones company? Everyone was talking about how their day went all with a grin. Your parents not complaining about taxes or bills or errands that they have yet to finish. Parents acting like real parents without one single complaint about anything.

Some say "well I do, but my parents are so annoying!"

Some respond with a "who does in this society anymore?!"

Then you have the child without any acknowledgement from their parents or guardians. Had a rough day at work and don't mind to talk because they are sick of living a world full of jobs and lists upon lists of things that need to be done.

It's tuff to find a family that has a sit down meal all together nowadays.

Somebody say imperfect?!

Don't get me wrong here, people make mistakes, but when they do, cross them off the list of trying to be perfect.

Society says be yourself, everyone else is taken! Then society comes and judges within the lies of itself. Judged everyday of who you are is a daily lifestyle. There will never be a day when this becomes extinct.

Who you judge is who you are.

Flaws is in the heart of what you believe...

...and that is when I find myself thinking about the time I found out what perfection means....

When I take my first step into my guy friends house, the home is filled with laughter and smiles from one another.

Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, sisters, brothers, fiancées...

Where do I start when they all greet me on a thanksgiving feast?

Sadly I deny all of their piece offerings because at that time, I, the young teen I am to this very day, look in the mirror and feel thick.

I couldn't help but notice how they all interacted with one another and electronics were all away except a few pictures being taken here and there.

That was my definition of perfect.

That was the example of a family coming together and cherishing what the have.

You couldn't even tell that the wife and husband was just the step dad to my friend.

The sister of my friend was in her early 20's and was the glue that held them all together...

She was something different when I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing.

She was picking her nose and digging in her teeth without anyone looking at her weird or feeling grossed out.

That, was normal.

Nothing wrong with her medically, but was just the outgoing, pretty, crazy, happy big sister with a lot of personality.

Still perfect?

Yes.

Why?

Because they see past what some people call "flaws"

First impression would be disgusting...

But...no one else seems to feel that way of her

She was herself and that's all they cared about.

Lights start to flicker throughout my cells...

Because of one flaw that means she's imperfect?

Technically,

Yes.

But in all honesty,

Not really.

I wasn't seeing it as a flaw, I saw it as a women being confident in who she is and doesn't care what people think of about her.

So what is the definition of perfection?

There is none.
