~ Georgia's POV ~
"I really cant believe you've abandoned your boyfriend to take me on a date to Nando's." I shake my head in disbelief, smiling warmly at Heather as she walks beside me.
Heather scoffs "Bitch, please, it's your BIRTHDAY! Besides, I've got Ethan's jumper, so I'll survive my separation issues."
I cant help but laugh as I take note of the infamous 'sundae sweater' that practically went viral in the CrankGameplays community, which Heather has unashamedly stolen and decided to wear out on our date tonight."How long before Ethan realises his jumper is missing for the billionth time?" I ask her, my voice laced with humour.
She shrugs "Fuck knows, he cant exactly get it back, he's all the way back in LA!" She stops walking and places a hand on her chest dramatically "Ok, wow, that hurt for me to say."
I sigh and wrap an arm around her shoulders "You're 100% going to cry to him on the phone later arent you?"
Heather nods sadly, sighing dramatically with me "Inevitably."
We both laugh and carry on walking down the streets of London, heading for the closest Nando's, which isnt far, thanks to Heather's carefully planned hotel booking.
"I've gotta say Georgia mate, you are looking like a total dominatrix babe on this fine evening, and I am LOVIN' it more than McDonalds!" My best friend blurts out, causing me to chuckle as I glance down at my voice of outfit.Dominatrix? I guess I can see that, yeah.
"Is it too much?" I ask her worriedly.
Heather chokes on air "Are you KIDDING!?! HELL NO! Tonight is your night to FLAUNT IT sexy mama!"
I grin at her, then frown "Why didnt you dress sexy too? I mean, obviously, you ooze sexiness constantly, but you're dressed like a cute marshmallow right bow."
Heather throws some finger guns at me "Ooze sexiness with my astounding ability of being socially inept, damn right!" She drops her finger guns and carries on talking "As I said, it's your night. I could've dressed like a total slut, but I would've gotten insecure in 0.2 seconds, plus, I dont fancy Ethan having his protective boyfriend instincts wake him to catch the first flight over here." Without warning, she whips out a capri sun from her bag and starts drinking it.
Her words are something I probably could have replied to, but her capri sun actions have left me baffled. Then again, on a night out with Heather, why WOULDNT SHE whip out a capri sun?
"That's true, that does sound like Ethan." I agree with her.
Heather nods and smiles cheesily "Innit though!"
My best friend finishes her capri sun in record time and starts looking around for a bin. Within seconds, she spots a bin on the opposite side of the road, outside of a pub, and without sparing a second thought, she darts over there to throw away the remnants of her temporary nostalgic joy. I wait for her to return to my side of the road, and she turns to me to cross the road, when some voices behind her cause her to stop dead in her tracks.
"Well, arent you a cute little thing! What're you doing out here all alone darlin'?"
Even from the other side of the road, I can see the fear in Heather's eyes, and in an instant I've darted over to her, right as a group of guys step out of the pub behind us.
"Ooh, and she's got a sexy friend too! You two up for some fun tonight?" One of them slurs, causing a chain reaction of laughter and hiccups from his drunk friends.
I know that if Heather could, she'd snap at these assholes for talking to me like that, but the fact that they targeted her first has sent her into a state of extreme anxiety. Grabbing her hand, I pull her away from them so that she's standing behind me, and I raise an eyebrow at the creeps.
"No thanks, we've got boyfriends, they'll be here any minute to pick us up." I lie, hoping I'll convince them to leave us alone.
One of the guys takes a step closer to me "You wouldnt be dressed like that if you had a boyfriend, unless you're some kind of slut?"
Im about to speak up and defend myself, when another voice speaks from a few feet away.
"How dare you speak to these ladies like that! Leave them be!"
My eyes widen as I instantly recognise the voice, despite my mind trying to desperately convince me that it isnt him. Just at the possibility of hearing his voice, Im frozen in shock.
One of the creeps wraps an arm around my waist and pulls me close to him "Nah, we're just playin', arent we babe?"
I elbow him hard in the ribs, and before I can do any further damage, another figure appears to punch the guy straight in the jaw, sending his body hurtling onto the concrete.
"I told you, leave them be!" With his back to me, our saviour stands and looks at the other guys "Unless you want to be in the same state as your friend here, fuck off."
His words send chills up my spine, and my brain cant tell me it isnt him anymore.
The guys split up as they flee the scene, and our rescuer slowly turns to face us. The second I see those brown eyes, all tension from the previous encounter evaporates from my body. My god, how is he this beautiful in real life too!?!
"Are you ladies ok?" He asks us kindly, with a concerned expression.
Heather nods and sniffles "Yeah, cheers Bryan, what a lad."
Normally, I'd have laughed at that, classic Heather. Unfortunately, right now Im in a similar state to an android on standby. Coincidence?
Bryan laughs slightly, and the sound makes me feel dizzy as he turns to look at me "And you?"
All I can do is nod silently, still staring at him in awe.
Heather pats my back supportively "Dont worry Bryan mate, she's fine, just a total stan of yours."
Bryan gasps "A stan! I know what that is! Twitter told me!"
My heart melts, he's so adorable what the fuck. Suddenly, Bryan opens his arms out to me, and before I can even fully comprehend the sight in front of me, I've fallen into his arms, my head fitting perfectly against his chest as his arms wrap around me, holding me tightly.
Heather clears her throat, temporarily breaking the moment "Im just gonna go call Ethan real quick, I'll be back in a bit, you kids have fun!"
Neither Bryan nor I say anything as Heather dashes off, and weirdly I feel like he's experiencing the same clicking feeling that I am as a response to his warm embrace. Any other time, I'd be worried about Heather going off on her own, but I know she's just going round the corner to talk to Ethan over the phone and let him calm her down after that whole ordeal, then probably break the news to him that we've casually bumped into Bryan Dechart. That's a thought, actually!
"What brings you to London?" I enquire as I reluctantly pull away from him.
He smiles at me kindly "I've been doing some work over here recently, movies and such."
I frown, scolding myself mentally. Why and how did I not already know this? If I'd have known there was even the SLIGHTEST chance at meeting Bryan while in London, I would've dressed-actually, this is the perfect outfit for me to meet him in, hello.
"It was all pretty secretive, I had to keep quiet about it and not even reveal I was in London, but it's finished up now, so Im free!" Bryan grins like an excited child, and I cant help but giggle, then he speaks up again "What about you..?" He asks, while also gesturing with his eyes that he wants to know my name.
"Im Georgia, and my friend's name is Heather. She's taking me out on a date tonight for my birthday." I smile at him warmly.
Bryan raises an eyebrow, looking just a little sad "Oh, are you and Heather in a relationship?"
I laugh slightly, shaking my head, but also taking note of his sadness over believing I was in a relationship "We're best friends, Heather just went to call her boyfriend: Ethan."
Bryan grins "Ah, wonderful! And look, here comes Heather now!" He looks over my shoulder and waves at Heather, who is presumably walking up behind me.
Seconds later, Heather appears at my side, and just by looking at her I can tell she was crying on the phone to Ethan. Bless her, she really misses him.
"Sup cunts." She greets us casually.
Bryan looks slightly shocked at such words leaving her mouth, considering how small and relatively innocent she looks. But obviously, I know her better than that.
"Dont worry Bryan, she's just extraordinarily British." I explain.
Bryan nods and laughs slightly "Makes sense. Where are you two headed?"
Heather punches the air "NANDO'S!"
Bryan chuckles at her enthusiasm "Well, would you like me to walk you there? After that incident, it'd reassure me that you two got there safely."
My chest aches, how much sweeter could he possibly be!?!
"Yeah sure, I'll gladly third wheel 'til we get to Nando's, it's chill." Heather shrugs, answering on behalf of both of us, because she knows Im in shock again.
"I can promise you, I wont make you a third wheel, I'd like to get to know both of you, you seem very nice!" Bryan chimes in his angelic voice.
And so we continued our journey to Nando's, this time walking in a line of three, with Bryan walking in between Heather and I. For the remainder of the way there, we talked and laughed so hard we were in pain, and it was brilliant.
Once we reach Nando's, Heather jumps up the steps "Alright, I'm gonna go get our table, give you two some time to say your goodbyes and stuff. It was really cool meeting you Bryan, you really are a lad!" Then, she darts into the restaurant.
I turn to Bryan and smile slightly, but I cant help feeling sad, will I ever see him again after this?
"Georgia...forgive me if this is too forward, but I'd really like to see you again sometime. Could I perhaps get your number?" He enquires nervously.
My heart practically leaps out of my chest "Of course, that's not too forward at all!"
Bryan grins and passes me his phone, and I enter my number into his contacts before passing his phone back to him.
"Unfortunately, Im heading back to LA in a few days because of work, so we may not be able to see each other for a while." He admits guiltily.
My eyes widen "No way! Im going to LA too! Im moving in with Heather and Ethan for a little while, having a sort of holiday with them, a prolonged birthday I guess you could say."
Bryan's jaw drops "Really? That's amazing! Well, if that's the case, I'll text you when I land and we can carry on from there?"
I nod at him and smile widely "Sounds perfect."
Bryan reflects my smile back at me "Im glad you think the same. Oh, and, before I go!" He leans forward and kisses my cheek lightly "Happy Birthday, Georgia."
And with that, he pulls away from me, gives me a cheeky wink, and starts walking away from me. Looking over his shoulder, he flashes one last dazzling smile and calls out something I'll never forget."'Til we meet again, Birthday Girl!"
