  (Silverstar P.O.V.)

"She'll forgive you before long.". Silverstar had wanted to believe that Tallvine was right, but he hadn't seen Brackenfrost since the argument. Was she avoiding him on purpose? He hoped she wasn't. "Well, I can't sit around in my den all day." he thought. He decided to go hunting.

***
Silverstar could smell mouse. But before he could pounce something stepped on a twig, scaring the prey away. He looked around searching for who had cost him his kill. His anger melted away he realized it was Brackenfrost. Silverstar could hardly dare to hope. "Brackenfrost? What is it?" He asked, wondering why she had come now. "I... I wanted to apologize for my outburst." She mewed, not looking him in the eyes. "I should have realized how much it hurt you when you killed him. I should have known you cared about him just as much as I did. I hope you can forgive me.". Silverstar was overjoyed. "Of course I forgive you.". Brackenfrost seemed more relaxed now. "Oh, and I'm sorry about your prey." She meowed.
"I could help you hunt if you'd like.". Silverstar smiled. "Yes, I would like that.".
***
Silverstar stopped to scent the air. He could smell the scents of the forest, and prey, but he could also scent something else. A scent that seemed familiar. "Who's there? Show yourself!" Silverstar yowled. A deep new sounded from the trees, "Now Silverstar, is that any way to treat your former mentor?". Silverstar couldn't believe his eyes. Here, standing in front of him, in flesh and blood, was Darkpelt. "How are you alive?" Asked Silverstar, dumbfounded. "Oh, you have more important things to worry about." He leaped at Silverstar, knocking him off his paws. While he was dazed, Darkpelt slashed at his flanks. Silverstar yowled as the sharp claws ripped through his flesh. The weight was taken off of him when Brackenfrost knocked Darkpelt off of him. "Join me! I can give you everything you ever dreamed of!" Darkpelt meowed. "Never!" Brackenfrost yowled back. "You're a traitor and a foxheart!". Silverstar struggled to his paws. "Brackenfrost, we have to go!" He yowled. "No!" She mewed back. "We can't let him get away!" Silverstar's voice hardened. "He's to strong! Now, as your leader, I order you to go, now.". They both ran as fast as they could. When they were close to the camp, they stopped. "Brackenfrost, I'm sorry." Silverstar meowed. "I hate ordering you around. It's just that..." Silverstar stumbled and fell. "Silverstar, are you okay?". Silverstar could only look at her before the last of his consciousness faded away.
