"A cold front is approaching the next couple of days." The weather man's eyebrows raised leaving a silence. Commercials popped up. I sighed, watching my wife run around the kitchen cleaning.

"Hun," I said, she didn't answer, "Honey!" She turned around, sweat running down her face.

"Yes?"

"A cold front. On the news. Its winter so we'll have the longest day of the year."

"Oh! That's great, I can finish all the errands in one day." She threw her towel on the table and sat in a kitchen chair.

"No, we should plan something. Like go to the beach."

"Babe, its going to be really cold. And being out there all day could lead to sunburns." Her eyebrows scrunched up in that cute way they do when she's stressed.

"We could stay home, read, do puzzles, drink hot tea," I strolled over to her sitting at her feet. "Lets rest that day, you have all year for your errands." I held her hands and led her outside onto the back porch.

"I love you and I feel I never get to really see you." I began, "We could travel or better yet, camp in the backyard, telling ghost stories and making smores." She smiled and her eyes filled with tears.

"I love me too and that would be lovely."

I rolled my eyes, a smile plastered to my face, kissing her tears away.
