The Day I got Arrested

So, let me start from the beginning, no one thinks time travel in this century is real so I have to be careful about when I jump. I was doing my daily scraps collection ready to make some trades when I heard shouting "she's here! Surround Her!"

I ran anywhere where the footsteps weren't and were about to make a jump when I felt a bolt of electric hit me. Yeah... I just got tasered and it wasn't pretty, then I ended up handcuffed to the desk in an interrogation room.

I looked at my wrist and no bracelet I thought "no this can't be happening!" Soon enough this bloke all dressed smartly in a navy-blue suit on walks in with a file. Here we go...

He sits down and gestures for the handcuffs to be taken off me, "I'm Detective Dawkins and we have some evidence that I know it may sound irregular, but you are seen in different points in history." He pulls the bunch of photo out of the file and throws them in front of me. "Oh no," I say sarcastically "You caught me!" He looks at me with a glare. "You want the truth?" I ask him. He doesn't reply. "Ok, I'm a bounty hunter." He looks at me with surprise. "What?" I continue "I was born in the year 1999 but I teleported to the future and currently living there and we don't really age in the future it's to do with chemicals and stuff anyway..," I pause, he still looking at me with disbelief. "..I work for my country's government before you ask my country doesn't exist yet, I'd say about 100 years roughly from now then it will be." "I am sent back in time to make sure some things happen and so some things don't." he's still confused "But... you said you were a bounty hunter." "The government doesn't know what I do and they don't want to. So I just do what needs to be done when requested and then pick up other jobs from time to time but mostly I collect scraps for credits like the stuff in my backpack which I want back also the bracelet." He was speechless, I asked "so am I done? Am I free to go?" he gestured to the door still in shock. I stood up and walked out. I collected my belonging and headed to the trader's shack.
