"Harry, don't you dare!" I instantly recognized my brother's voice. "Harry, don't! She's my sister for crying out loud."
"Yeah, but she'll love it," Harry's voice came. Shit. What was he going to do to me? Not wanting to find out, I kept my eyes closed, dreading what the Cheshire boy had in mind.
"Oh, Harry. Please don't do that to her." Louis said. Crap. If Louis wanted Harry to stop, it must be something bad.
"I'd turn away if I were you Liam. There's no stopping him," came Zayn's quiet voice. I heard a chuckle and something heavy landed on me. My eyes snapped open and I saw Harry. Naked.
"Harry Styles, get your bloody ass of me!" I screamed. A smile spread across his face and he stood up, facing me.
"Harry, she didn't need to see that," Louis sat on the arm of the sofa, shaking his head disapprovingly. "Poor little Nat!" He cooed messing up my hair. I glared at him.
"Look, Harry. I know you think that you- Oh crap! Harry, please don-" But before I could finish my sentence, Harry picked me up and held me against him. "You're disgusting, you know that?" I whispered in his ear.
"Millions of girls would die to be in your position," he winked. I started giggling at his comment as I knew it was true. There was some really weird fans out there.
"Okay, let me down now," I said. Harry nodded and placed me down on the floor. "Go put some clothes on, Hazza. I don't exactly want to see... that for much longer." He grinned before walking away to the spare bedroom in the flat where all the boys kept a spare change of clothes. They did that in everyone's flats though and I was glad for it. No more would there be naked boys in the flat that didn't have a spare pair of clothes!
"Nat, please tell me you're okay?" Liam hugged me.
"I'm fine, Liam! I'm just gonna go take a shower and wash these clothes a couple times!" Louis and Zayn laughed from the other side of the room.
"I'd wash it more than a couple times!" Louis yelled. I smiled at him.
"I'll do just that, Lou!" I yelled back. He and Zayn smiled at me and went on to talking amongst themselves.
"We're going out for a bit, guys," Liam shouted as he pulled me out of the flat.
"Okay!" Came the replies just as the door shut.
~*~*~*~
"Harry likes you," Liam said as we strolled along the beach he had driven to.
"What?" I asked, completely shocked at what my brother had just said.
"He- You can see it in the way he acts around you. I saw him looking at you the way someone in love would. And the way he's been sticking close to you so much. He wants to protect you and the only way he thinks he can do that, is by making sure nobody but he can hold the key to your heart."
I pondered on the thought. Was it true? Did Harry actually like me in that way? He couldn't... Could he?
"When? When did it start? I mean, when did he start liking me?" Liam shrugged.
"I guess when he first met you, he was attracted to you." Was Liam being serious? I couldn't actually believe it.
Harry Styles loved me.
"Said it all, nothing to say at all. Nothing to say that matters, haven't we heard enough?" My phone started playing the chorus to Said It All by Take That and I immediately knew who was calling. Niall.
"Who's calling?" Liam asked. He looked at me and then at my phone. "Oh..." He whispered, realizing who it was. "Are you gonna answer?"
"Should I?"
"Listen to what your heart says, not me," he smiled. I nodded and, hesitantly, pressed the 'answer' button.
"Nat, please listen!" Niall pleaded. "I need you to know something." He sounded ashamed. Oh god, it was something that was either going to make me want to hit him or make me want to hit him and cry.
"What?"
"This- This is going to be hard on you. But-"
"No, don't say it. I know what you're going to say and you can just keep it to yourself."
"We didn't mean for anything to happen! It just sort of did... I wanted to apologise for lying to you and for..."
"Apology not accepted, Niall. I loved you so much but you broke my heart and for that, I don't think I'll ever forgive you." It took everything I had not to burst in to tears there. I needed to stay strong and show Niall that I didn't need him. "Goodbye, Niall." I handed the phone to Liam before sitting down in the sand and starting to cry.
"Niall, what the hell did you do to make her upset like this?" Liam questioned him. He waited a bit before answering. "Niall! I can't believe you! Why would you do that?" He looked awfully angry now. "Niall, you broke her heart! I can't believe you've been dating her best friend for three months now!" There was another pause and Liam sighed. "Bye, Niall." He pressed the 'end call' button on my phone and sat down with me.
"Liam..." I sobbed. "I- I loved him." Liam pulled me into a hug.
"I know, Nat. I know..."
"Liam, I want to go back now. Back to the flat." Tears still tumbled down my cheeks. The past day and night have probably been the most I've cried in my life.
"Come on then," Liam said standing up and holding his hand out for me to grab onto. I placed my hand in his and he pulled me up.
"Thanks, Liam," I sniffed. He smiled and hugged me once more.
"Lets go, Nat. I think there's a storm coming." I looked up at the sky to find he was right. Massive black clouds swirled around us, threatening to unleash whatever was going through the air at any moment. I felt a tug at my arm and ran along with Liam to his car.
~*~*~*~
The storm came on quite suddenly as we started to drive home. Thunder rumbled over head and a bolt of lightning lit up the sky.
"Oh crap," Liam muttered as the car came to a complete stop.
"Liam, why have we stopped? What's wrong with the car?" I panicked. I had never like storms and Liam always tried to get home quickly if we were caught in one.
"We've broken down," he explained to me.
"Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap," I was hyperventilating now. Damn it.
"Nat! Don't worry! I'll phone Lou, okay?" I nodded, taking in deep breaths. "Don't worry, Natalie. The boys will be here soon."
"O- Okay. Phone them now, please?" Liam nodded and picked up his phone.
"Hello, Harry? Yeah, it's me, Liam. We've broken down about fifteen minutes away from the beach. Can you tell Louis to come and get us? Thanks. Bye, Haz," Liam placed his phone back in his pocket and sighed. "The Payne's are just an unlucky family, eh, Nat?" I laughed.
"Yup..."
