I was walking through the courtyard of my college, looking down as i tried to ignore the glares, comments and laughs pointed in my direction, almost everyone in the school hated me, my only friends were my sisters roommate Tracy along with a jock named Brad and his girlfriend Alice. I always got to school first because of my insomnia, and not to mention the fact that i like to take walks through the woods before the sun rises, i always wait for my sister and her roommate before going to class, even then i try to block out the comments. I sit down by the steps and pull out my ipod, i go through my playlist and click on one of my favorite song 'Nemo by nightwish'
I put my ipod in my pocket and looked at the long sleeve that covers my scar covered wrist, i slightly pull the black cloth further down my wrist and quickly stand up when i look up and see my sister walking towards me with her roommate. I put on a fake smile and she started running to me, " hi Rose, where have you been these past two days, were you sick again? " i look her in the eyes and regret the fact that i am going to lie to my own sister, " yeah, i had a high fever, i went to the doctor and they gave me some meds that would help break it " she smiled and hugged me, i felt my fake smile turn into a genuine small smile, i pat her back and she lets go, i smile at her and start talking to her and Tracey as we walked to the steps of the school. They keep talking as i keep listening to music, i smile as another one of my favorite song comes on 'A Beautiful Lie by TSTM'. (AKA thirty seconds to mars)
I look off into the distance and watch as the faces I've known for the past three months pass by and do their own thing, some smirk at me, others glare or whisper amongst themselves, i just watch and wait for a change, i've been waiting for some kind of change, like a sighn or a change in their way of judging me, in a way i find it funny for someone like me to feel the smallest shred of hope for a second such as this. I switch my gaze to the entrance of the school and am slightly surprised to see a new face, i watch as a boy walks through the entrance of the school, he has a grey shirt with black stripes under a black hoodie that zips halfway from the middle of the torso that rest above a pocket that stretches across the bodom of the hoodie, he wears dark blue jeans with black and white sneakers, he caries a black backpack over one shoulder as his brown messy hair frames his face

We lock eyes as he gets closer, in that moment everything slowed down as if in slowmotion, i felt something inside me flutter and my heart skip a beat, i felt drawn to this boy and it scared me, i rarely show my emotions and had never thought i would feel this drawn to someone i haven't even talked to, we haven't even properly met, just looked at eachother as he walked past me. When we finally break eyecontact he walks past me as he looks down, i take a quick and calming breath before walking into the school with my sister and Tracey, we start walking to class after stopping by the library and getting a few books, we walk into the classroom and i take my seat in the back of the class in the shadows hoping that the teacher wouldn't notice me and ask me to move to the front.
