Helloo everyone! I hope you're all having a good day, and if you're not, this book will hopefully cheer you up? Maybe? idfk but anyway this book is being written by Eleni and I (Jude), we hope for some criticism but not the type that would leave me depressed for a week. Also, go follow our main accs if you wanna speak to us individually...Legooo!

Gertrude's POV

"Gertrude, pass the salt to Johnny please" My father by the name of Maxwell Becker practically demanded me, also dragging me out of a trance. I rolled my hazel eyes all the way to the back of my head in response before moodily passing the vintage container into the way of the wealthy man. I met Johnny roughly 3 years ago and since then, I'd loathed his guts. Not because my parents portrayed to be his personal kiss-asses but because of the way he always treated me. What was I, 5? Every year on my birthday, he'd announce it on social media and throw an enormous party. Being the little introvert I am, it was a dreadful drag to even be around him and his flock of paparazzi.

"Thanks, Gertie" Johnny's husky and almost groggy voice struck me for a moment as he hadn't remarked my difficult expressions. I also nearly jumped when he said my so extremely familiar nickname. "I'm also adoring this dinner tonight, Linda." He complimented mom's cooking while he sliced into a medium rare chunk of steak. Mother blushed wildly and innocently giggled while silently munching onto her meal. Moreover the night went off extremely slowly with my parents and Depp speaking of careers and whatever the fuck I don't care about. Only until father's mobile went off soundly and this phone call left us confused. Dad came back with a droopy frown. I lifted an eyebrow and gulped down the last bite on my plate, casually springing from my seat.

"Dad, what happened?" I questioned in concern while I took my plate and cutlery and settled them into the sink. Then, father sighed in grief and scratched the back of his head miserably. Even John and my mom had quieted down to allow him to speak.

"Your mother and I were booked onto an important business trip—-."

"Honey, that's great! When are we going?" Mother didn't spare a second on not showing her cheerfulness and arrested father from proceeding.

"We'd have to leave tomorrow morning..." Dad massaged his temples as he rested his elbow onto the hard marble dinner table. "Who's going to take care of Gertrude at this time, Linda? It's a month worth of business!" Clearly, He was over reacting at this point. I wasn't 5, remember?

"Oh you guys, I'm not 8. I can take care of myself!" I laughed awkwardly as I eyed my dad who looked as if he was going to blow under pressure. Why's he being so emotional? He's never been this overwhelmed before..

"Nonsense! You can't stay here alone, what could happen to you??" Mom suggested insensitively before I caught Johnny lightly smirk mischievously. What is he up to? My parents completely missed this and ranted on and on about how I'm this immature child, merely an adult.

"Well, I could baby sit her if you guys don't mind" Out of the blue, Depp spoke and sent a chill elevating around my body like it was screaming 'Noo!'. While my parents on the other hand promptly stopped arguing and gave him all their attention.

"What? Johnny, we really don't want to be a nuisance. You're usually busy, aren't you?"

"Well, I'm not too busy these weeks." His glance swiftly turned to me and sneakily winked (without my parents seeing most likely) "Besides, it would be a pleasure.."

His voice slurred into my ears and made me mentally cringe. I don't wanna' stay with him! He's so annoying and self-absorbed, I can't deal with him! "In that case, thanks so much John. Gertrude, go pack up your stuff while we speak of details"
