Elliot Savannah most commonly known as Elle Savannah, is a girl who was presumed dead alongside her parents. She is finally about to get some answers as to who her real family is.
Once social services finally found some of her birth mothers family in a town not even really noticed on the map, her twin brother. Elle's Uncle Charlie, was more than happy to take her in leaving Elle in a bittersweet situation. She has to leave her foster family, the only family she's ever known but also gets to be with her biological family. Elle was happy to leave the hot weather of Georgia to the welcoming colder weather of Washington, she's never really liked the heat. The only real reason she had to be sad truly was leaving Andy and Stella, who were currently dropping her off at the airport in Atlanta.
With Elle's final heartfelt conversation with her foster parents came some tears and tight hugs, deep down she knows that they will always have a big impact on her life. Thanking them for taking her in and raising her to be the amazing and talented woman she is today. Without them she would be a completely different person and takes a mental note to call them once everything is settled.
The plane ride to Port Angeles, Washington was uneventful and Elle slept most of the 7 hours with the others spent drawing the view from her window seat in her sketch book.
When they landed, Elle felt herself growing both excited and anxious to meet her Uncle Charlie and was fearing that she wouldn't be able to pick out who he is in the crowd by the luggage. However when she did reach the Luggage belt it took her no time to find the man in a Chief of Police uniform and the same awkward stance and excited gleam that she herself always wore. Wasting no time she walked up to him, not surprised when she tripped, she's always been clumsy. Charlie shared a lot of physical features that Elle had, and that leaves her guessing she looked like her mother.
Charlie smiled at the young girl.
"Hey kiddo, I'm your Uncle Charlie."
Elle was overcame with a warm feeling,
"Hi Charlie, I'm Elliot. Please call me Elle though."
They then walked towards the belt where Elle pointed out her luggage and Charlie carried it. All Elle decided to bring was two carry on bags and a suitcase taking this as a fresh start.
Once they walked out to Charlie's car, Elle wasn't even embarrassed in the slightest to see Charlie's police cruiser is the car that they'd be taking.
Out of nowhere Charlie spoke breaking the thick awkward tension, "You know, you remind me a lot of your mother."
Elle took this as a compliment and smiled.
"Especially since you like to be called Elle instead of Elliot. You also remind me of my daughter in that sense who shortens her name too." Charlie stated.
"Why does it remind you of my mother?"
Charlie shook his head, "because Elle was your mother's middle name."
Elle went quiet, and it stayed that way for about fifteen minutes.
"Um Charlie?" Elle asked cautiously.
"What's up kiddo?" Charlie said with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Can you tell me more about your daughter?" Charlie smiled out of both joy and nervousness.
"Yes I can, first of all you freakishly look very similar to her and I have a feeling you two would get along really well and will be often mistaken for twins when you both go to school- ah and that's another thing. Im taking Bella in tomorrow from her mother since she remarried and her husband is a traveling baseball player. Bella doesn't want to be a bother and her mother thinks it will be good for her. I miss her a lot so it's going to be good I hope. She's also your age and will be starting school at the same time you are."
Elle hummed in response,
"I'm actually really excited and hope to become close with her."
Charlie smiled knowing that they will get along just fine, "I'm sure you two will be attached at the hip."
Before they knew it they reached a two story home in a very green and small town known as Forks. Elle was already in love with the scenery and cold, Charlie's home was really homey feeling and she couldn't help the feeling of belonging there. Charlie carried her bags inside and Elle noticed all of the pictures of him and who she presumed Bella hanging around the house as well as some photos of him and her mom as she was had one photo of her given to her when put into foster care when she was 3. Charlie lead her into a room on the second floor that was attached to another room by a sliding door.
"Well this is it, your room. I didn't know what color you liked so the stores lady picked a pink comforter out for you"
"Pink's cool" Elle took a minute to look around the room, it was a light blue almost white color with a big queen sized bed as well as a white desk with some art supplies, a lamp, a white wardrobe dresser, as well as a white bookshelf with some pink accents.
"I figured you could pick out some things you like and we could make it more your own, I also heard from Andy and Stella that you like art. The room is connected to Bella's and the bathroom is across the hall, I cleared a shelf for you. Make yourself comfortable Elle."
Elle thanked Charlie and decided to unpack her books and clothes, liking that he didn't hover. Slowly Elle was becoming even more satisfied with Forks and went to sleep looking forward to her cousin she has heard she's so much like. Having dreams of school and how it would go in two days.
