Lightning lit up the sky making it turn different shades and colors the moon hung delicately on the midnight blue sky the humongous oak tree i was sitting under swayed in the breeze the grass beneath me tickled my feet. "Robyn! its time for lights out" "I'm coming Helena" sighing i lifted myself up off the ground, slowly making my way back to the orphanage. I caught sight of myself in a puddle my white cotton nightgown pressed to my body because of the wind my black hair whipping behind me while my bright blue eyes seemed to glow in the moonlight. A flash of scarlet red blood bright and fresh flashed in the water i shivered and kept walking ~Don't remember that night, its in the past~ I told myself reaching the giant oak doors of the orphanage I pushed them open hearing them creak from age. My bare feet slapped against the linoleum floor the hallway I had entered was littered with doors all with a name on them at the end of the long hallway was my door, Robyn was elegantly engraved into a silver plaque. Stepping into my room my feet sink into the black carpet and I'm surrounded by blank white walls jumping into my twin sized bed i stuff my face into my pillow hiding my eyes full of sorrow and eventually falling asleep. Blood so much blood i was drowning in it i pushed and fought but could not find the surface then there was a flash of grey eyes, I awoke gasping for air sweat pouring down my face. Running a hand across my face i get up and head to the bathroom that all the girls share. Stepping under the spray of ice cold water I start to scrub myself down I pause when I get to my neck and run my fingers over it and feel nothing but smooth skin I sigh and turn off the water. I dress in the uniform required at the orphanage, a short black skirt and a sky blue long sleeved button up shirt with a swirl design on left side i comb my hair down and look in the bathroom mirror smile and leave.
