"Yah! Jisung!" Yoona called out furiously. "You heard everything huh?"

Jisung nodded in guilt. He knew he should not have listened to their conversation, but he was so eager to know because he felt a stronger distance between them. Jisung knew nothing about Yoona's family, and he even opened up about his. It was unfair to him.

"What the fuck, Jisung! This is none of your business! What makes you think you can come around and listen to other people's conversations?"

"I'm sorry, Yoona noona," Jisung spoke, sincerely.

Yoona's manager sighed at both the girl and boy. She was gestured that she was going to leave both of them alone, and took off. Genuinely, her manager wanted them to resolve things.

"Sorry isn't enough Jisung! You could've waited for me to tell you about everything instead of eavesdropping on me! There's a reason why I haven't told you any of this—"

"I'm sorry, noona. It's just not knowing these things makes me feel like I don't really know you, even if we're best friends."

"Best friends? Jisung? You don't even know me enough to be my best friend," Yoona spat and walked away, leaving Jisung behind.

Jisung was lost for words at this point. He knew he should not have done that in the first place, but he cannot go back in time to undo what he has done. A wave of sadness rushed through his body. Though Yoona did not mean what she said, it really hurt him.

He thought they established that they were best friends. He thought he knew Yoona. He thought the times they spent together was something. But he was back to square one— confused.

——

The past week was lonely for Jisung. He did not even try to say anything to Yoona because he was afraid of being ignored. They did not speak one word or look at each other for a week after the incident.

It is not like Jisung did not want to talk to her, but he was really scared of how Yoona reacted. He knew he made a big mistake and did not know how to approach her about it.

He had no choice but to ask someone for advice.

"Hey, Haechan hyung," Jisung said quietly. "What do I do if I made a girl mad?"

Donghyuck cocked an eyebrow at Jisung, surprised about what he was questioning.

"You apologize to her," Donghyuck replied plainly.

"Yeah, but hyung, what if she's super mad at you?"

"You apologize to her with a kind gesture."

"But what if she's ignoring you?"

"Jisung? Did you and Yoona have a fight?"

Jisung put his face on the pillow and sighed. He was not sure if he should tell Donghyuck about him and Yoona, but this situation has been bothering him.

"I guess. I just heard something I wasn't supposed to hear, and—"

"Jisung? Why do you care so much about this fight?"

"I don't know, hyung. It's Yoona noona."

"Jisung? Do you miss her?"

"You can say that yeah. I miss her. I miss her giggle, her rosy cheeks, the way she blushes—"

"Yah, Jisung. You should tell her this and apologize to her. She will forgive you, guarantee."

——

Yoona, on the other hand, was still very angry at the boy. She could not believe that he did not respect her privacy. But through Yoona's anger, she genuinely missed the boy. She missed his laugh and smile, the small jokes he would make, the way he would call her name, his dancing—everything. She missed it all, but she put her pride in front of her.

Areum handed Yoona a sticky note as she went inside the manager's office.

Hi noona,
I have something to talk to you about. Please meet me on the rooftop at 6 pm.
