Yoongi POV

It was a Wednesday afternoon when I heard the doorbell.

I went and opened it and there stood Mrs. Wang and Jackson.

With suitcases.

"Hello!  Come on in. " I said and stepped aside for them to walk inside.

Jackson and I shared a glance at each other and a smile.

I closed the door once they were inside and shouted for mom.

"Mom! " I yelled.

"I know, I know, I'm coming guys! " She yelled back.

"So, uhh, do you want some drinks? Or some snacks? " I asked. I saw his mother doing.. Sign language? Oh yeah... I forgot.

Jackson nodded and I asked, "water or snacks? "

Her mother moved her hands again and he motioned with his hands that he wants to drink.

I smiled and held up my hand and made an 'okay' sign.

(👌)

He laughed and I got him some fridge water.

I gave him the glass and he bowed in thanks.

I just smiled.

And his mother smiled too.

"Thank you, yoongi. " Mrs. Wang said with teary eyes.

"Not much people except him for having this disability. Thank you so much"

"Well, you're welcome. But, I have a question.... Was he always deaf.. Or...? " I asked.

His mother smiled and then shook her head.

"He wasn't. How bout you talk to him like yesterday. On google. He told me about it. He can still talk a bit because he just lost his hearing 5 years ago when he was 19. So he trusts his words and says what he think is right to say. Oh!  He also had an aid for it, so he puts it on sometimes. He can't use it often. Maybe, 4 times a day for an hour. It will damage his ear tissue even more. Now, go talk to him. " His mother smiled.

I nodded and smiled back.

I motioned with my hand  for him to follow me.

I took his suitcase and went upstairs to a guest bedroom.

I already saw his mother's suitcase in there so I assumed that was their room.

I put his suitcase down and sat down on their bed.

I smiled and called him over.

He came and sat down.

I turned towards him

"C a n   y o u   t a l k ? " I mouthed.

He nodded and opened his mouth.

"Yes. I can talk. Pretty normally to be honest. I could talk for 18 years. I kind of, just, trust what I say. I listen to music by feeling the beat on the floor.
So at a disco, I can't hear, but I can feel the music. As cheesy as it sounds. " He said slowly.

I took my phone out and went on google.

He looked at it then smiled.

"Well, I can read lips. I've learned a long time ago actually. When my hearing started to ease I would be able to read lips. So, it's always like that. But, the person has to talk slow, so I can hear it. And it's not hard to do. If that's what you mean by hard.." He trailed off.
