Hey guys! So this is my last lesson before I go vacation :(. But I'm hoping I can go riding in the mountains!! Anyways... today I rode Gordo! I'm really starting to enjoy riding him, and we get along fairly well.
So we started in the outdoor arena, but we went inside because one of the horses was spooky. Not 5 minutes after we went inside it started to pour. Like soooo loud and sooo hard. We couldn't hear our instructor even when we were passing her. So we stuck to flatwork.
We trotted both directions, and they went well and we didn't have any problems. Next we did a sitting trot, and for some reason, I really struggled with it.  I tried turning my toes and all that but I couldn't really get it down. We did good at the canter though, we got our correct lead both times, and we didn't speed up or anything.
Then our trainer told us we could just w/t/c however we wanted. We could also do some trot poles. We did pretty good at that, but I started feeling sick and I decided to stop. I had to lie down for a bit because I felt like I was going to pass out. I hate how that happens, but when it gets really humid I always feel sick. I felt better eventually, and then I hosed him down and put him away. It's probably going to rain all day, but it's okay.
