"Man, that was interesting." The intro of the play had Yukina theorizing what the play would ultimately be about. "I think it will be about our culture," Yoshiro said. "I doubt it," Yukina said. "We all know about Japanese culture."
After school, Yukina went home. She then flopped on her bed from exhaustion. Well, she may have not been EXHAUSTED, but that's what it felt like. Her best friend, Hiro, had been missing school for the past couple months. She had been really nervous, so she called him. But, just like every other time, he didn't answer.
The day of the play finally arrived, and Yukina and her friends Kyoto, Kona, and Yoshiro were waiting, watching. The play turned out to be really funny, about someone who got stuck up in the Tokyo Tower. After the play, the school had an announcement: "We will be having a prom for students in grades 9-12. If a person in an eligible grade asks you to go, you may."
Yukina and her friends (excluding Kona) were 7th grade girls. "Maybe my brother could take me," Yoshiro said. "Wait, that'd just be weird." Kona was a 9th grade boy, but Yoshiro wasn't expecting him to say anything to her about prom. Hiro was also a 9th grade boy, but obviously he would have no way of knowing about prom.
The next day, Yoshiro ran up to Yukina. "I have two exciting things to tell you," she started. "Number 1, Kona asked me to prom!" "Really?" "Yes! And Hiro's here!" " You're joking." "No way! I would never joke about anything like that!"
During break, Yukina finally saw Hiro. She ran up to him and gave him a hug. "Where have you been?" "On vacation. I had like 27 missed calls from you! Were you worried?" "YES! When you don't answer for a couple months, I get WORRIED!" "I'm sorry, I had no cell service." "Then where were you? Where the heck doesn't have cell service?" "The mountains, apparently." "I'm so sorry, I just missed you." "Wait, one question though, will you go to prom with me? Unless you think I, like, passed the friend zone or something." "I would never think that! Of course I will go to prom with you! I've liked you since, like, forever!" "Same here. I just didn't want us to not like each other if we broke up. But honestly, I think you're the one for me. It just took me a while to realize it." "Same here, Hiro." So a few days later, they went to prom, and Kyoto ended up going as a third wheel. They had a great time, and then Hiro walked Yukina up to her door. He kissed her, and he said, "I love you, Yukina." And Yukina said, "Hiro, I love you, too."
There will be more journals, eventually, because I think I'm going to write a fan fiction. Maybe.
