Thalia's pov
I was seated at the picnic table near the locker room, helping Amanda with her essay on code of ethics for Nurses. Mandy wanted us to use the library instead, but I never wanted to go back in that cursed locker room ever again.
It was cool and breezy outside and it seemed to help me think more clearly. I had yet to call my mom and have a good chat with her, maybe tell her about the past week. My news story needed to be completed and I needed to figure out how to get a quote from Keith about the science fair. That is without going out with him.
A poke in my side pulled me out of my concentration. I turned to Mandy with an irritated scowl and came face to face with her excited looking green eyes.
She then leaned to whisper into my ears. "Don't look now, but the sexiest chunk of muscles is walking towards us!"
With that said, I did the complete opposite and ended up regretting it deeply. I seriously think this Keith guy is stalking me. Not in a threatening way, but in a way that serves to annoy the living daylights out of me. I looked to see the said pain in the ass walking peacefully towards us.
"Hello beautiful." He said, his eyes smiling at me as he took a seat in front of Amanda and I.
I chose not to say anything in hopes that he would get the message and leave. But, as it obviously seemed, I was never as lucky as some folks.
"Hi." Mandy piped up beside me. Her voice sounded dreamy as she spoke and I felt like slapping her for the stupid smile she sported.
"Hi." Keith replied, his eyes still on me. "So, are you gonna tell me your name today?"
I still didn't answer. Any minute now, he'd give up and leave.
Amanda seemed to have brushed off Keith's lack of attention to her and began to talk again. "I'm Amanda. What's your name cutie?"
Keith rolled his eyes before he turned to my companion, probably deciding that he had a better chance with Mandy. To my surprise he asked instead, "What's your friend's name Amanda?"
I quickly sent her a glare and silently begged her with my eyes not to say anything, but she just ignored me. "Thalia, but she keeps telling me that we aren't friends, just roommates."
"Oh, I see," Keith said nodding. "She's not too keen on making new relationships."
I was slowly getting more and more aggravated merely because they kept talking about me like I wasn't even there.
Mandy let out a soft gasp as she continued the conversation. "Omg, that's so precise. I think so too."
Ok, that's it, I've had it with these two!!!
"Amanda! Unless you want to complete this paper on your own, I suggest you shut up and let me concentrate properly. And you..." I narrowed my eyes at him as he grinned at me, not at all bothered by my harshness."I would really appreciate it if you leave me the f'ck alone, and I mean right now!" I almost screamed at him.
He started to lightly chuckle and I wanted to punch his handsome face. "Calm down princess, I just wanted to talk."
"Do not call me that!" I screamed.
Keith's grin seemed to grow bigger as he replied. "I have some more nicknames for you on the tip of my tongue, but I don't want your friend here to hear them."
"What do you want from me!" I shouted. I was loosing all my control and it was all because of this infuriating little d'ckhead.
"Only your hand in marriage." He said and I froze.
He's crazy! He's a psychopath I tell yah! A psychopath! A delusional psychotic asylum patient!! And he's obsessed with torturing me! I'm going to die of frustration!!
He probably saw the panic in my eyes because he started to laugh a bit before he got all serious again. "I mean, we don't have to go that fast, we can start slow. You know, a date first."
I blinked. Once. Twice. Thrice. What did he say after marriage?? "What are you nuts!? Leave me the hell alone!"
"Oh come on Lia." Mandy whined beside me. I decided to ignore her.
"Yeah," Keith said, "oh come on Lia."
"No!" I said, stamping my feet.
"I love it when you do that." I heard him whisper under his breath. My temperature rose and I started my uncontrollable blush. Sometimes I really hate myself. "Just this one time Thalia, and if you don't enjoy it, I'll leave you alone for good." Keith begged.
I was so mad at Mandy and Keith and myself and the picnic table and the stupid essay and the school and the world and the universe and just about everything and nothing at all....
"Fine!" I spat. "But you're answering all my questions about the stupid boring science fair."
"Sure baby girl." He replied, seemingly satisfied with my answer. "And if you enjoy yourself, I will be seeing more of you in the future."
"I highly doubt that." I retorted. I suddenly knew what it felt like when someone say they have a pebble in their shoe.
I went back to the essay and tried to focus, praying that he would leave the table. Keith just made himself more comfortable, leaning back on the headrest of his chair and his hands behind his head. He sighed contentedly and closed his eyes, looking as relaxed and unbothered as one could get if one was on a well deserved vacation.
I found thinking in the present of Keith as hard as doing a calculus test without having a single experience at all with the subject. To be honest, thinking was suddenly the most tedious activity I've ever done with the guy around me. I eventually got fed up and quickly packed up my things to go, but not before he noticed my leaving.
"Do you have class now princess?" He asked, his voice sounded sleepy and appealing.
I gritted my teeth in annoyance and decided not to answer. Instead I groaned loudly and walked away.
"Alright sweetheart, I'll see you tomorrow. I figure our date should be on a Friday when we don't have school the next day." He said to my back as I kept on walking.
"This Friday, around six and wear something sexy. Nevermind, anything you wear is sexy on you anyway...."
Remind me again why I agreed to go out with the creep.
