"Uh.. Brian are you home?" Zack was at a payphone, in the pouring rain.

Zack had gotten the answering machine f his boyfriends house. It was the worst time for Brian not to be home, but he did have a life outside of their relationship. THere was a click, and Zack was just about to hang up when Brian Seniro picked up.

"Zack?" It sounded like the older man was winded.

"Oh? Mr. Haner, I was wondering if Brian was home.." Zack's voice sounded detached.

"No.. He's gone shopping with his mom. She dragged him out to help with decorating the house for halloween." Brian Senoir sounded like he was finally getting the air back in his lungs.

"Oh okay. Sorry to bother you. I'll just try and get a hold of him later." Zack felt horrible for wasting Mr. Haner's time.

"Is there something wrong Zack?"

"... I don't reallyw ant to talk about it sir." Zack really only wanted to talk to his boyfriend right about now.

"Okay. Well, I'll let him know you called." End of conversation.

A few hours later, and Zack was wandering around the beach. His clothes were completely soaked and despite all the people around him, it felt like he was all alone. It also seemed like the beach would never end, no man's land. There had been the odd person who'd asked why he wasn't at home on a night like this, instead of being out in the damp weather.

Two o'clock in the morning and Zack had finally sought out a bench to sleep on, and actually found one. He couldn't sleep however. No matter what way he tried to get comfortable, it wasn't possible. He'd probably get really, really sick too, because of the dampness was running over his skin and making him want to shiver non-stop.

"Zack?" That was the first voice zack heard, but his teeth were chatting so much that he  couldn't say anything back.

"Zachary?" That voice was most definitely Brian Seniors, and Zack could hear the worry every time the man called out.

"He's over here dad!" Zack felt Syn's warm arms wrap around him for a minute.

"Zack? OH! He's alive, his teeth are chattering." Syn pulled Zack up, and with no protest from Zack, he scooped him up into his arms.

"B, B, Brian?" Amidst the teeth chattering Zack actually managed to get a word out.

"What the HELL are you thinking? Come on Junior, bring him to the truck. I've got some blankets in there." Brian's dad said, rushing to their truck and turning on the heat.

"They don't want me anymore." Zack's voice was quiet, and he sounded sleepy.

"Stay awake Zack, and come on. We'll go get you warmed up." Syn was holding Zacky as close as he possibly could, feeling how cold his boyfriend was.

"Go away. Just leave me alone." Zack managed to sputter, staring up at Brian.

"I won't. Now we're taking you home." Brian said, wrapping Zack up in some blankets and putting him in the back seat of the vehicle.

"But I just told you they don't want me!" Zack screamed, before breaking into uncontrollable sobs.

"I know that Zack. I meant my place, YOUR new home. We'd never bring you back to somewhere you don't want to go." Brian said, looking back at Zack as his father started driving.

"But.. You can't be serious about me living with you guys." Zack said, a stupidfied look on his face.

"Of course we're serious Zachary. Sheesh, you're over enough anyways. Besides, Junior's been bugging me to let you live with us forever." Brian Senior added.

A feeling of peace washed over Zack, as he managed to fall asleep. He was going to a home, a place where people actually wanted. Man, did it feel good to be wanted.
