Complicated Love

Chapter 7

They spent hours looking for Dae, but couldn't find him. Dae was hiding in an empty third year classroom, sobbing.

An older boy came out and frowned. He sat next to Dae. "What's wrong?"

"He was cheating on me. My yobo cheated on me!" Dae sobbed.

The boy frowned. "I'm sorry to hear that." He pulled Dae into a hug.

Dae clung to the older boy, crying into his chest.

The boy smiled. "It's okay, it'll be okay,"

"It won't be okay." Dae cried. "We've been engaged since I was two."

The boy frowned. "That's harsh. Why were you engaged for so long?"

"Our parents want us together..." Dae cried.

"Do you love him?"

"I do, I love him so much!" Dae sobbed.

The boy frowned and cradled Dae. "I'm sorry, but you know what, if your parents want you two together, then you'll be together no matter what and if not, then he made a bad choice because you're so sweet and cute. There will always be someone else that will love you back and that person will be your true love."

Dae started to calm down. He wrapped his arms around the older boy and laid his head in his chest. "Thank you."

The boy smiled. "It's nothing. What's your name?"

"I-It's Dae." Dae sniffled.

The boy smiled. "My name is Onew. Dae's a really cute name."

Dae blushed. "Thank you."

Onew smiled. "Now, you need to be strong. Maybe your yobo had a reason for what he did. It's not right, but you still need to talk to him."

"I don't want to. He cheated on me with my best friend." Dae pouted.

Onew frowned. "I'm sorry, but you still need to. Don't let him win and hurt you. You need to show him what he's missing." Onew smiled and ruffled Dae's hair. "Do you want me to come with you?"

"Can we do it later..." Dae pouted. His stomach growled.

Onew laughed. "Let's go get dinner."

Dae smiled. "Can we get chicken?"

Onew smiled. "I love chicken! Let's go!" He took Dae to the cafeteria and they say down and talked.

Taemin was freaking out. "This is all my fault! We should have told him sooner."

"It's my fault." Minho said. "I was the one that was supposed to tell him weeks ago."

Taemin looked at the ground. "But I caused all of this. If I had just kept my feelings to myself...he wouldn't have been hurt..."

"I love you, Taemin." Minho said. "I don't regret being with you. We'll make this right."

Taemin nodded. "Let's go check the cafeteria."

Minho nodded. They walked in and saw Dae smiling and laughing with an older boy.

Taemin looked at him and ran over. "Dae!" He went up to him. "Dae, I'm so sorry."

Minho ran over as well. "I'm so sorry. I've been trying to tell you for weeks."

Onew looked at them. "Are they the ones who hurt you?"

Dae nodded and looked at his hands.

Taemin sat down next to him. "We're really sorry. Minho was supposed to tell you about us, but we both were scared to hurt you. We're really sorry. You're my best friend, Dae and my first friend."
