chapter 3: A little surprise

I said goodbye to my friends before leaving for the day after school. I decided not to use my supers speed to get home, I don't want to end up losing control and who knows smash into someone's bedroom or living room or even worse a car truck.
So I decided to walk feeling the cold breeze blow through me. I was listening to my favorite music on earphone at the same time thinking about the video I saw on dawn's phone, by now the views are actually five thousand and rising. Comments flowing here and there on who the speedster might be, but only I knew the truth, the speedster is me.
The only way they couldn't identify the person is because of the footage was blurring and it was dark as well.
I am still surprised through that people really believe that video is real not that am saying is not, but C' Mon we live in the modern age and technology is advancing to a new level. Anyone can make videos of unrealistic event and post them online just for entertainment.
Somehow I knew why this one is different, ever since we witnessed the rising of the new squad known as team dragon and Tiger claw, anyone would believe anything they see.

I've been thinking all of these events can't be a coincidence, team dragon arrival, tiger claw showing up and then me. What am trying to wrap my head around is tiger claw specific words: "the most important thing is  you've finally made an appearance" that sounds suspicious right, exactly my point. Why was it so important that I show up.
I am not an investigator or a detective like my dad to figure it out but, maybe I might do a little digging with my dad recent files on Tiger claw's case. If I knew where he keeps them.
I dragged that out of my mind as I cross the next Street that leads to my residence. I would have board a taxi but I gave the rest of my Cash to a girl in school who hasn't eaten for a day. I was exhausted from the walk and all I wanted to do was get into my room, have a shower, relax before doing my homework.
Immediately i remembered, Ryan's party! Dang it! Dawn is going to be pissed if I don't go with her but I was too tired to pick out a dress or do anything other than rest right now.

I finally arrived home, it was almost four in the afternoon when I unlocked the door with my key which is weird. My mom never locked the door except she is going out but she always tell me before I left for school. I called out my mom's name but no answer, not until I noticed a piece of paper on the table.

"Hey flash I forgot to inform you that my shift starts at three in the afternoon and I won't be home until eleven, there's some chicken wings and your favourite soda in the fridge. Your dad won't be home until then too, so stay safe and call if you need anything. Love you."
Later on after some cool off with myself, I went down to the living room to watch TV. I grabbed two of the chicken wings from the fridge and placed them into the microwave to warm up setting the timer at three minutes. I waited until it was warm and dished it grabbing my favorite soda as well hearding to the living room.
I turned on the TV with the remote and started switching through channels until I found a show that interest me and started watching as I bite through a chicken wing sipping my soda.
My phone beeps from my pocket I took it out and checked, it was a text message from dawn saying she was coming over to my place to pick out a dress for me. I need to tell her I can't make it to the party, she is going to be angry but is better if she knows. I texted back.

To Dawn:    I  can't make it to the party, my parents are not home and I didn't inform them earlier. Can't leave the house unsecured without their permission, I am
So!! Sorry I seriously wish I could come.

The next few minutes, she replied: I understand. Just so know am not upset and we are still Bff and I will do the same in your shoes. See you on Monday.
I smiled after reading it, am so glad she understands my reason for not going. I texted back.

To Dawn: thanks for understanding I'll see you on Monday. With that I ended our conversation and focused my attention on the TV show.

Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and everything went black...

A/N: Am sorry I haven't updated, I have been trying to update Supers a little another story in my library which is also recommended for you all.

I also said I will reveal the villain of this book but, next chapter promise. Hope you enjoy this chapter and please comment on what you think so far.
