Welcome to Epals! We have brought pen pals to the modern era. No need for pen or paper or weeks of uncertainty if your pal even got your letter. The goal of Epals is to connect people from all over the world without the hassle that old fashion pen pals went through. 

CONGRATULATIONS! You have been officially verified and can explore Epals. All of your information has checked out. We apologize for the extensive background checks but we want to ensure that our Epals are properly connected.

You have been chosen to send the first message to your Epal! (How exciting!) Within the next hour, you will receive a message that has the name of your Epal and will tell you how you can start your email. ENJOY!

Here are some things you should know about us:

Everyone is placed into a random pairing generator. Your Epals account will receive a message letting you know the name of your Epal and your journey will begin!

You have 48 hours to send you Epal a message and they have 48 hours to respond. After the first emails are exchanged, we allow all Epals about a week to respond because we understand that people can be busy.

**Added note, if something were to happen where your Epal cannot respond within that time frame, we send them an email and they can let us know if they will still connect with you after and you will be updated. Everyone is kept in the loop!

You have the right to report your Epal if you feel threatened in any way shape or form. We will immediately disconnect you from them and place their account on hold for investigation. You will be given the option of a new Epal or if you wish to remove yourself completely from the Epals site. 

Accounts that are inactive for more than three months will be removed from the website and you must create a new account to rejoin.

ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE VERIFIED TO HAVE AN EPAL—We go through extensive background information to connect you to the proper pal. No catfishing allowed.

A reminder*** You do not have to disclose any information to your Epal. The only information that your Epal can see is you first name and last initial. What you chose to disclose is not Epals' responsibility.

Epals does not allow images to be exchanged or links of any kind to be transferred within emails. The receiver will only see a blank spot where those are placed so please do not attempt to attach them.

Epals does encourage you to stay connected to your Epal, so please set up your notifications so you can always know when you get your email.

We have incorporated Epal-iversities! If you stay connected with your Epal for a year, you both will be sent a box that you can send to each other to celebrate a year of friendships and connections.
