Chapter V

KRYSTAL

"W-What!?"

"You heard me right. You'll live with me starting tomorrow" He said and then he smirked.

"I don't even know your name yet you're asking me to live with you? Are you insane?" I asked him seriously.

"Oh that's right. I haven't properly introduce myself to you ever since we've met. My bad, how foolish of me. Anyways my name is Kim Jongin" he offered me his hand

"Krystal Jung." I accepted his hands and then we shake our hands.

"I'm hungry already. Do you have something to eat there? Like a real food?" he asked

"What do you mean by real food? I only have ramyeon" I replied

I went to the kitchen to bring out some ramyeon.

"Here. Eat this" I offered him the cooked ramyeon

"Oh that wormy soup again. I dont want it, I want a real food." he complained

"Ya! This is the only food I have, I can only supply myself with this. Be thankful you can eat a food like this, some people eat foods leftover foods in trash"

Yeah you read it right. I can only supply myself with noodles and some side dishes that the ahjumma next door gives me. I have a part time job because my parents cant support my study and I can't finance it by myself that's why I work hard.

But looks like this crazy person is a blessing, I guess I wont live a poor life starting today

"Why would they even eat leftover foods in trash? That's too low" he said in disgust

"Because they cant buy themselves a food, even this. Why do I even have to tell you this, You wont understand" I said as I pointed my hands to the cooked ramyeon

"Why do you even call this a wormy soup when it has a name" I added

"It's because I'm not normal like you. I dont know what you normal people do or eat. You wont also understand" he said

"Aigoo, this wont do. I'm hungry let's go out. Let's eat some real food!" he cheerfully said

"You're talking as if you already know where to go"

"Oh right. You're my human map. Let's go human!"

We went outside her apartment and saw lots of food stalls everywhere. And then there I saw lots of weird foods, I dont think I can eat it and I dont think it's safe.

"Hey are you sure those foods are safe?" I asked

"Hey you fool! You think we can sell these foods if they're not safe? Some people from the government already inspected our business. If you dont want to buy and eat then go away, you're pissing me off" An old woman said.

"I didnt mean to offend you Madam, it's just that it's my first time seeing these kind of food." I replied calmly

How dare this old woman talk to me like that. You're just a human yet you dare to talk to a demon like me just like that?

"I wonder if you can talk to me like that if I told you I'm a half demon" I mumbled

"What did you say? A demon?" Human asked

"What? Demon? No I said the moan not demon. You better clean your ears you human" I said nervously

Damn she better not know, or else my plan on living here would be ruined

"Quit mumbling and just tell me what you like" she said in annoyance.

"Stop with that grumpy face, you look ugly. What a weird human"

"I said my name is Krystal and not a human. How many times do I have to remind you to stop calling me 'human'?" she complained

"Fine. I dont want to eat here Krystal, I want to eat in a restaurant. Make sure a expensive restaurant."

"Whatever"

We keep on walking, and then she suddenly asked me a question.

"Why do people say 'It's okay, there's still next time' when that words wont even make the person feel better. It'll make it more worse"

"I agree. Same to us who aren't human, why don't they just shut up. Right?"

"What do you mean by aren't hu—"

"But then I realized that they only say those words so that they wont feel a little guilt." I interrupted

"But then what's the use of that? It won't even make a difference. The damage has been done, those words are just useless"

"Yeah i know but then, atleast you can tell that they care about your feelings. You'll know that they care for you. But sometimes they say those words because they pity you" I replied

"They pity you because despite of all the hardwork and efforts you've exerted you're still a failure. And you'll end up trying again next time and then history repeats, so it's better to eliminate those kinds of creatures to your life. They're just not worth it" I added

We keep on walking and then I keep on looking down. My foot, they've traveled some long distance places this day, I wonder how do they feel? Lmao that's not possible cause foots dont have a heart nor mind. Why ask such bullcrap Jongin? Damn I'm sleepy as hell

"Were here!" she shouted which caused me to feel awake.

"Here?" I asked and then pointed a small restaurant in a disappointed way.

"What kind of reaction is that? This place has the best dishes in this area! Besides some expensive restaurants are probably closed at this hour." she said

"Fine. Go order and then I'm gonna pick the table" I said

She quickly ran to the ordering area, and then I picked the table.

Damn, I feel happy now that I'm away of our crappy mansion. Do people even feel how tiring it is walking and wandering outside? Well fuck it's even more tiring than I expected and then I even plan on going to an actual school, oh well things are getting interesting as hell. I'm curious on how would my father react if he finds out I actually got away from his crappy dungeon. I keep on looking at humans.

"There, dig in" human said as she gave me bunch of foods.

"Finally! This is what I want. Real foods" I mumbled.

"Whatever you weird asshole"

"How dare you call me an asshole? Don't call your boss an asshole ever again or else I'll reduce your weekly pay"

"Fine fine!" she shouted

"Anyways, you should eat too. Here eat some of this" I said as I offer her some foods.

"Nevermind. I'm on a diet" she said

"Why would you be in a diet? You're freaking skinny, do you plan on showing your bones in the future? Lmao" I said and then laughed really hard as I imagine.

"Shut up!" she said in annoyance

"But really, thank you for accompanying me." I added

"Well, that was random"

"I know right. I'm random and you should get used to it"

We— I mean I finished all the foods she ordered, she didnt eat because she's on a diet. We then left the place and then started wandering outside again.
