SPADE'S POV
I close my eyes as I focus on the smooth engine of the Embraer Lineage 1000E. This private jet is one of my personal favorites. It's a Hollywood Airship that conveys the luxury of tinsel town in the 1930's. (see feat. photo)
"Good Morning ladies. Time check, 10:45 Ante Meridiem. 15 mins before landing, this is your Captain Albert Folksroguenn wishing you a good day and thank you for flying with me."
"Thank you Albert for the unneccessary formal announcement!" Jack removes her eye cover and starts to stretch.
"Ace, can you tell him not to do that everytime? This is a private jet not a public airplane." She said annoyed.
"Whatever Jack." Ace closes the magazine she's reading and throws it down the table.
"Spades?" Jack turns to me.
I don't really have the energy for this. I look out the window and hear Jack murmuring.
Jack and Ace Vermillion are like me, orphaned and was adopted by the Vermillion twins. The three of us makes up the House of Cards. The pride and joy of the twins. There own trained geniuses. Honed to become the wisest in the business world such as the two of them.
Now, we are currently on our way to the place that I dread the most. The place where I thought I'll never be stepping into once more, not just because it reminded me of the mother I lost but of the memories that seems to have made permanent scars. But there's no place for this feelings right now, no matter how tormented I feel at the thought of seeing familiar faces. I've changed, I just need to put more conviction to it that I'm no longer that vulnerable and naive 16 year old kid.
I no longer carry the name of Danielle Moore. I'm now Spade Vermillion, one of the legitimate heirs to Vermillion Empires. A monster in the business industry at the ripe age of 19. I might still be studying but I've mastered my ABC in the business world under the teachings of my adopted parents. It just might be the right time to start playing my cards right.
"Young mistress Spade, we have arrive your rides are waiting outside," the blonde french attendant reaches me my jacket, sunglasses and car keys.
I ran my fingers through my hair before standing up and grabing my things. "Merci beaucoup." I say before following my two sisters.
Ace as the eldest had an uptight attitude. Though she tolerates Jack's misbehavior a lot of times, others doesn't have that luxury with her. At the age of 21 she's already finish her degree in law and now, she's the families official lawyer heading two law firms of the Vermillion Empires, one in Central America and one in Asia.
She always carried herself with grace. Today, she's wearing a white v-neck shirt tucked in a white fitted jeans with her black leather belt showing. She had a navy blue business coat on and wore a leather dark brown top sider shoes. Her long straight hair was tied in a neat high pony. Among the three of us, Ace was the one who screams business with her every move. Before walking out the jet door she wears her round blue shaded sunglasses.
She was soon followed out by Jack who was rather laid back between the two of us. Jack was the type you'd call the life of the party, a huge socialite. But trust me when I say she's the most cunning between the three of us and rather dangerous. She's the youngest and friends with a lot of famous people. She just turned 18 and is taking up engineering. In a year or so she might just be able to earn her first degree. What can I say? We all excel in our studies.
Jack was sporting a white and red university jacket and a white fitted sando inside. She had a black ripped jeans and sneakers on. Her messy long dirty blonde hair was in a loose bun and had brown shaded aviator glasses on.
