"အချိန်...ကြောကျ?" Romeo flushed at yet another slip up, but this time Xara corrected him. "Time stone, he means. The runes and aura imply a time stone"

"Soo.... What does that mean?" Amy yawned, stretching as she leant on the table. The clock ticked above her head. 8:15.

"It means this likely is a manipulator of time" Xara said flatly. "It's primary use is to move a user through it's fabric"

Jesse's eyes widened, moving up slightly from his seat. "We can time travel with that?!"

"In theory"

"W-well... Is there any way to test it?" he suddenly grew nervous, slumping back down. Sometimes Xara wondered if he was bipolar. She shrugged. "Not really?"

"It still makes me feel sick" Jesse mumbled, swaying slightly before blinking firmly and slapping his face. "But nevermind that! Can... Can i test it..?"

Amy frowned. "You run a fricking city, if something happened to you then everything would devolve into chaos. Why risk that?"

Romeo smiled weakly. "I could try it? There's nothing really to lose if i die- OW!" he clutched his skull, Xara having had smacked him upside the head. She pointed at him accusingly. "Nuh uh. Your ass isn't dying on me. Non-negotiable."

He looked exhausted, though an appreciative smile played on his lips. "Don't get so clingy" She stuck out her tongue at him and proceeded to violently noogie, to which he let out a series of unmanly shreiks, and his wrist slammed against the table. Almost immediately he fell silent, and withdrew his arm. Xara flushed and changed the topic before the rest could ask, even as red began to soak through the long grey sleeve.

"I think it would be best to go as a small group"

Amy tilted her head in confusion. "Huh? Why?"

"Stabilisation. More people would give off a stronger aura- it would help balance it, perhaps" she rubbed her head. "I haven't had magic in ages, so i don't remember much of the functions"

Jesse sighed and lowered his head to rest on his folded arms. "Should we risk that? Besides, what would we even go back to?" suddenly his back straightened and he turned to Romeo, and the ex-admin could see the idea flicker in his eyes. His own narrowed. "No. Don't go meddle in something that personal. Seriously, don't"

"In the same way you didn't mess in my personal life?" Jesse can't resist biting back, and Romeo visibly flinched, hand going to clutch his sleeve and thus staining with blood. The room was silent for a moment, and the brunette swallowed thickly, guilt stewing.

Xara inhales slightly, her grey eyes seeming to shine, as though she was holding back tears, though her face remained as flat as usual. "It's not exactly exciting, it was just... Childhood. I don't know" she looked at the floor. The redhead next to her appeared to be frozen, mouth moving but no noise escaping.

Amy glanced at her, hair falling over her eyes, though the peircing blue of her iris's still shone through the strands unnaturally. "Honestly, wouldn't it help you get it off your chests if someone else knew? Besides, it's not like you'll have to say anything. We'll see it"

Xara made a choking noise, and this time Jesse was certain she was struggling back tears. "It's... We haven't faced it in thoudands of years. I don't know.. I don't know if we... If i am ready to go back to seeing that.. But..." her hands balled into fists. "If you want to know this bad.. And if it has even the slightest positive effect then.. Then I'm willing" determination now sparked in her gaze.

Jesse nodded, before turning to Romeo, who was now looking despairedly at his ruined sleeve and stained hands. With a 'notch's sake' muttered drily under her breath, Xara tugged him to the sink and shoved his hands under the freezing water. After most of it had drained, he turned to the two remaining at the table. "There is a part of me that wants someone to know" he admitted quietly. "But it's not pretty"

"We can handle it" Amy said stiffly. "Jesse fought the witherstorm and i was a slave owner. I think we've experienced some fucked shit" next to her, the brown haired hero nodded. Romeo nodded back. "Then... Alright. Is there nowhere else in time you would like to see?" with a passive shrug in response, he closed his eyes. "Then... Who is coming?"

"Myself, you two, amyyyy..?" as he counted off of his fingers he turned to the short girl intuitively, and she nodded idly. "Possibly Petra?"

"And... When?"

Jesse gave a lopsided smile. "Now?"

Romeo stiffened, before forcing himself to relax. "N-now?"

"..is that too soon?"

"N-no, it's... Fine?" it came off as more as a question than an answer, and the tense man cringed. "Seriously. Uhm. Where is Petra?"

"Oh, right, she's on that short trip to Champion City, she can't come!" Jesse realised, visibly dissapointed. Amy arched a brow, but Xara grinned. "Ooh, sad your girlfriend isn't coming?" his face pinked considerably "She isn't my girlfriend!" he exclaimed.  She snorted. "Riiiight"

Jesse moved to the time stone, though the head lurch it granted him made him stumble. Picking it up, he tried not to collapse. "How does it work?"

Romeo picked it off of him, an action he was visibly thankful for, and turned to it. He closed his eyes and began to mutter.

"အချိန်
အဆိုပါအာကာသ
အဆုံးမရှိသော
အတိတ်ကာလကနေဘုရားကိုမကိုးကွယ်...
ထုတ်ဖေါ်!"

The runes in the stone began to emit extremely concentrated light that filled the room and blinded it's inhabitants. Amy forced the white to recede from her eyes, unwilling to be possesed from weakness from simple shock. The white streaming from her fluttering eyelids seemed to mingle with the blue, and with a loud noise akin to smashing glass, they all fell unconscious.

---

When they awoke, they became quickly aware of the thick smog-like air, waves of dust seeming to clog their lungs. Jesse awoke first, though the others did mere second later, and he brought the cuff of his sleeve up to filter the suffocating air.

Looking up, he couldn't see the sky through the thick fog of dark, musty grey.

Did it work? This place looked differ-

The thought was cut off by another coughing fit, this one from Amy, who was hacking and scratching at her throat. She shot him a bewildered stare. "Fuck me, what's with the air?!" she stammered out angrily, the cuss rather emphasised. Jesse slowly stood up. "I don't... Know.." he trailed off, looking around him at their surroundings.

The buildings were tall and made from faded stone, metal pipes twining them. Around them bustled, crowds of people giving them odd glances as they passed by, and Jesse caught sight of a bonnet and a suit. What was with these clothes?"

As he stood up squarely and tried to roll the tension from his shoulders, something small knocked into him, nearly sending him tumbling again. The one who had ran into him wasn't as stable however, and fell on their behind, helping.

He offered a hand, and as the child looked up at him, he inhaled sharply.

Short, tussled auburn/autumn-brown hair stuffed under a greyish brown cap, an odd sweater and undershirt, and peircing blue eyes with yellow flecks. The colours were ever so slightly off, but-

"Romeo?"

The kid looked at him with confusion before it twisted into a glare. "Who the fuck're you?! Piss off, don't call me that!" before sprinting off at a speed Jesse prior thought impossible

Jesse was certain his jaw had hit the floor, and an embarassed chuckle alerted him to the Romeo he knew, having awoken and extremely sheepish.

"E-erm.... Yeah"

Jesse facepalmed.
