Somewhere in her eyes
the light is burning.
Under a shining star
is hidden an endless pain.
Somewhere in her smile
the joy is fading.
Under a crooked smile
is hidden her world of hurt.
Somehow she could still love
in an endless world of hate.
Her heart still could beat
whatever they'd said.
She had lost many things,
and she was sad.
She found herself,
and somehow, that was everything.
