1 week later
Soo Mi's POV
After finally accepting that I now have zero interest in those two so called 'best friends', I decided to move on and start working hard on my studies.
I have to forget my feelings once and for all now...
I'll just work hard to get into a good university and hopefully start a new life somehow and forget about those two.
A loud bang disrupts my thoughts.
"Soo Mi get ready for school!" my eomma shouts.

"Okay Eomma I will!" I yell while struggling to tie my hair up.
Today I'll just ignore them, just a few more weeks before I'm finally free from all this drama and I can once and for all relax and temporarily forget about this whole situation...

Meanwhile back at Taehyung's house...
Third persons POV
"Kim Taehyung, get ready you'll be late for your flight!"

"Okay Eomma, I'm coming downstairs!" yells Taehyung as he stuffs his phone in his bag.

Today it was his flight to America to start training to become an idol with his other six friends.

As Taehyung rushes downstairs to grab his last minute essentials, his phone starts ringing.
Ring ring!

He tries to ignore it while stuffing his breakfast in his mouth. It rings for a second time as he swings his jacket on.

RING RING!

"Argh!" He huffs and answers the call.
This better be important, he thought.

"Hello?" He growls into the phone while tapping his foot impatiently.

"Oh hey Taehyungie, I just wanted to call to wish you the best of luck in America, do keep in touch and update me on all the exciting things you will be doing okay? Also I'm not going to go to school today cause it'll be awkward between me and Soo Mi and she might ask where you are, so I don't want to face that." gushes Eun Ha.

Taehyung's heart clenches when Soo Mi's name is mentioned and doesn't seem to pay attention to what Eun Ha is saying.

"Hello?"
"Ah yes?"
"You still there?"
"Yeah...uh look I gotta go for my flight, so I'm a little busy right now? Okay Bye Eun Ha."

He hangs up and rushes to the door, with his mother standing beside it. He kisses her cheek as tears well in her eyes.
"Do you have to go Taehyung?" She croaks quietly, chokes caught up in her throat.
He turns around and pulls his mother into a warm embrace, inhaling her sweet vanilla scent which reminded him of home which he'll probably not be back to for 5 years. Wet tears soak his shoulder as he sniffles quietly not wanting to let go. No words were needed to fill their silence, their embrace was the only thing that mattered. He was leaving his whole comforting world behind him and stepping into the unknown. He wouldn't get to see his mother for 5 years and he would have to deal with his homesickness. He had to grow up now, for the good of his mother.

As his mother pulls back from the embrace to wipe his tears away, he starts weeping again but for a different reason, he was leaving the love of his life behind, and the worst part was that she didn't even know. Soo Mi had no idea about him leaving to go to America. Only Eun Ha and a few close friends. He couldn't bear to tell Soo Mi the truth. He was afraid that he would have confessed his true feelings for her.

All these years he's had to stay quiet for the sake of their friendship as she cried over her previous boyfriends, he had to wipe her tears as she cried over worthless boys. Every time she's always come to him for help. But every time she was broken, he was too. But he was broken for another reason; he was broken because he knew he could never become the one she loved, he could never think of her as anything more than a little sister. He wanted to be the one who became her closest companion and shower her with the love and affection that she truly deserved.
