Starting a new job is always difficult, but moving away from your family to a different state is even harder. I'm from Nebraska, and no we don't ride tractors to school if that's what you're thinking. I had to leave. I had a bad home life and I needed to leave. Moving to California has always been my dream, no on believed I would ever make it here on my own. I proved them wrong, didn't I?

"Kylea!"
I jumped up from leaning on the counter. I really need to stop with the inner monologue. I looked up unaware of what was going on.

"Maybe you should help me clean these tables before the brunch crowd comes through."
"But Carmen, it's so fun watching you run around this place."
"Oh get real, you weren't watching me, you were doing your little daydreaming thing again."
"You mean my inner monologue?" I respond with sass.
"Yeah that thing. But I'm thinking you should help me clean so customers have somewhere to sit." Carmen said tossing me the dirty rag.
"Have you been washing tables with this thing?" I asked.
"Yeah, go wash it off in the sink and get your butt back to cleaning."
"Alright Miss Bossy Pants." I say saluting her as I walk to the back room.

As I'm in the back, I hear the bell that hangs on the door chime. Yep, Carmen's gonna kill me. I walk out, looking at the floor, trying not to make eye contact with her. She has this scary alpha stare when you get on her bad side. As I'm walking to the back tables, I hear the door chime again. I couldn't help but turn around this time. As I turn around I notice Carmen is gone and it's just me and these two other people. Two tall males, very good looking might I add. I look down to the ground feeling nervous. They meet me at the counter as I tie my apron.

"Hi, what can I get you today?" I ask in a very calm voice. One of them looks down from the menu board and looks right into my eyes. I was intimidated and I could feel my cheeks burning up. I could tell they both noticed because he giggled.
"Can I get vanilla bean frappe?" One said. I couldn't help but smile at his husky voice. He has beautiful eyes, a gorgeous green and brown mix. I was staring so long I noticed a small freckle next to his left eye. I look down to type it in the register, realizing I've been staring a little too long. I gaze back up to get the other one's order.
"And for you?" I ask trying not to giggle.
"I'll have a mocha frappe, please." He said. I could feel my cheeks burning up again. He had the same fiery eyes as his the other one. They were obviously twins. I noticed the second guy had a freckle on his chin. They both had chiseled faces, god they're perfect. I snapped back to reality, they obviously noticed me checking them out.
"That'll be $7.56." I say making eye contact with both of them. The first one holds out a 10, as I reached for it, I accidentally touched his hand feeling electricity run through my body. I think he felt it to because he started turning red. I grabbed the 10 and put in the the register, when I went to grab the change. He said "keep the change" and smiled. The other one grabs a 5 out of his wallet and puts in the tip jar, smirked at went to sit down at a table. I say speechless. I've never seen such good looking guys before in my life. When I get back to reality I grab the things I needed to start making their drinks. I quickly whip up their drinks and set them on the counter. I search around the drawers for a sharpie or some sort of marker. I picked up a purple marker and walk over to their table with the drinks.
"One vanilla bean frappe and one mocha frappe." I set down the mocha frappe. I opened the marker getting ready to write down a name. I look over at the first one and asked what his name is. He looked up at me with a little smirk and said "I'm Ethan." I smiled. I loved that name. I wrote his name in a messy but sweet handwriting. I lightly hand him the cup, once again our fingers touch. There's that electricity again. I pick up the other guys drink, just now noticing his wing earring. "I'm Grayson" he says. Another great name. I write his name down and hand it back to him. Our fingers touch as I hand him the drink, there's definitely a spark. I smile at them, putting the lid back on the marker, and start walking to the counter.

"Wait!" Ethan calls out. I turn around and start walking back.
"What's your name?" He asks me.
"Kylea" I responded with a little smirk. I sit there for a second waiting to see what they would say next.
"You know, I like that move you used to learn our names." Grayson laughed. I stood there a little in shock because I knew exactly what they meant.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I said walking back to the counter.
"I think you know exactly what I'm talking about." Grayson said raising an eyebrow.
"Nope, please explain." I said wiping off the counter.
"Since when do you guys write names on the cups? We come here every Tuesday, and they've never done this before." Grayson said turning towards me in his chair.
"You know, I think you're right Grayson." Ethan said doing the same thing.
BUSTED.
"You know, it's this new thing we're doing, we're trying to be more like Starbucks." I said trying to avoid eye contact and my lie.
"Ohhhh okay. I see." Ethan said sipping his drink.

"Kylea! Can you come back and call Alyssa, she was supposed to be here half an hour ago, and my hands are a little full." Carmen yelled from the back room.
"Yeah, I'll be right there!" I yelled back.
I grabbed the receipt and walked it over to the boys.
"I forgot to give this to you earlier, I'll be right back." I said putting it on the middle of the table with a kind smile. I headed to the back room and made the call. When I came back, they were gone. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to at least say goodbye. I walked over to the table to wipe it down before anymore customers came in. When I walked over I saw some writing on a couple napkins. I opened the napkins and read the little notes they left.

Ethan's note: I can't expresso how nice it was to meet you~call me sometime (phone number) -E

Grayson's note: I hope the cheesy note doesn't make you depresso it was so great to meet you~ call me (phone number) -G
