Chapter 1

Chapter 1: The Beginning

My day started like any other, I checked my phone and as expected a text from anthony popped up (Good morning beautiful) he texted, and like usual I replied back with (Good morning Tony).

Anthony Sparks was a dream, he was tall and handsome with a striking jaw line, he was captain of the football team and every girl in school wanted to be his. But out of all of them he chose me, one of the most basic looking people on earth. I still didnt know why he chose me, but I was glad he did, he was sweet, caring, and humorous, everything I've ever looked for in a guy.

After a good ten minutes of texting tony, I decided to change and get ready for school. I was ready in a matter of minutes, I grabbed my keys from the counter and drove off to school.

"Cassie!" Vera yelled gettiong out of her own car

"Hey girl!" I yelled back running to embrace her,

"I missed you so much this summer!" she yelled squeezing me.

"Vera we just saw each other yesterday!" I laughed.

"Thats a long time!" she exclaimed, but before another word could leave her mouth Mary interrupted.

"Hey guys,  yall exited for our first day as juniors?!" she yelled.

"Hell yeah!" Vera and I yelled back.

"All right lets go what are we waiting for!"

And as mary said, we went. In my head we walked in like we owned the place, something like those iconic movie entraces, but it probably just looked like three people walking down the hall together. As I approached my locker I saw a crowd of people, confused I walked closer, and I couldnt believe my eyes.

I watched as the crowds sorrounded the locker, for a split moment the crowd made enough space so that i could peak and see what all the hassel was about, and what I saw made me want to puke, there he was, as handsome as ever, Thomas Everret. Thomas was the ultimate playboy, and he used to be my best friend... but that was in the past..... now? we were nothing more than strangers.

"Hey babe" Tony said as his arms snaked around my waist, 

"Hey!" I said, a smile streching iself across my face,

"Hows my beautiful girlfriend doing?" he asked planting a kiss on my forehead.

"oh ya know, the same old stuff" i replied giggling.

"Ew enough PDA!" vera yelled,

"Now mister, go fing your football jocks, while us girls get ready for class" she said. 

"ugh, fine vera" he replied, tony then turned to me and kissed my lips.

" Ill see you later gorgeous," with that Tony turned around and made his way to his friends.

"I dont like him" Vera said Giving my boyfriend the stink eye,

"Youve told me this alredy vera" I replied,

"I know i have, and you still havent listened" she said, 

"Cassie, hes controlling and manipulative, you have to dump this guy, hes no good for you!"

Vera yelled,

"I agree with her cassie, hes no good for you"Mary interrupted. 

"Whatever guys... you dont know him like i do" i said grabbing things from my bag and shoving them in my locker,

"We warned you.." Mary said before putting her own things away. Soon enough we were all separating and going to different classes.

As I opened the door to my first class I realized I was late,

"Im so sorry mr.Burns" I said to my teacher

"Just take your seat next to Mr.Everret"

"Is there any-"

"NOW!"

I nodded and ran next to Thomas in a blink of an eye, if there was a thing I learned bout Mr.Burns ove ther years is that he was a very scary man when mad.

"Hey...." I said after sitting next to thomas for a good twenty minutes of awkwardness.

"Hi" he replied, smiling with his pearly whites.

"How was your summer?" I asked,

"Same old same old, you?" 

"Nothing much" I said shrugging

"Hows Josie?" I  asked as a strange feeling of jelousy took over my system.

Josie was the reason to our fall out... you see, Thomas and I had been best friends since middle school, we were inseparable, he was always there, always sweet. I fell in love with him...But he had his eyes set on Josie, the popular one along with Amanda and Katrinna. Eventually to my demise, after a year, he had the gut to asked Josie... and she said yes. Long story short, I was broken hearted, I cried to Mary and Vera for months, but I kept my true feelings from him.. until last january, when I told him everything, and well from then, he started ignoring me more. He focused more on Soccer, Josie and his other friends, and well...forgot about me. I did confront him about it, and that was the cause of our fall out, he said he wasnt ignoring me to be mean but to somehow lessen my feelings for him.. it didnt work, I was broken even more... from that day we stopped talking. I met Anthony shortly after in an icecream shop as I ate my feelings away, he helped me heal.

"Josie...? we broke up a few weeks ago..."

"Oh tommy im so sorry.." I said accidentaly spilling my nickname for him.

"Its alright Cass.. it was better for the both of us.." 

"Anyways, hows Mary and Vera?" he asked 

"They are great!" I replied smiling, and then we talked for the rest of class, and down the hall, until my next class. the momment he left, I realized how much I had missed him.
