Marigold Partger watched, no stared at her sister. Clary Hough laid on her death bed, wheezing and coughing every couple minutes. Her eyes were locked on her husband, Alexander Hough. Alexander's eyes were on the brim of pouring out with tears. The woman who he said his vows to less than two weeks ago has only a matter of 5 minutes before she was taken off of life-support.
"Alex, can I-" Clary coughed then continued "-to Marigold alone?"
Alex looked down and nodded, leaving his wife’s hospital room.
Marigold looked at Clary is disbelief. She’s about to die, why would she want to spend time with me when her husband is about to cry his life away over her?
Clary broke the silence. "When I die you need to move-" Clary wheezes in a deep breath. "-in with Alex."
"Well that was blunt." Marigold laughed. Clary gave her an actual 'death' glare. "Sorry. But why? He’s a grown man."
Clary hesitated. "I want you to replace me in his life. Love him, care for him, and be with him."
Marigold stood there in utter shook. She was about to say something but a nurse lightly knocked on the door. "Ma’am is time."
Marigold rushed out of the room not wanting to see her sister die. As she rushed out Alex rushed in. Mari sat in the waiting room that sat across from Clary’s room. Tears outlined her face while clear drops fell down her face. Moments later a teary eyed Alex came out. Marigold stood up and looked at him. Clary's words ran through her head. "Love him, care for him, and be with him." Her sister’s voice made her brake out. She collapsed to the floor and cried. Alex rushed to her side and held her. Marigold cried into him. Holding onto him like she would lose him next. From that moment on, she knew she would have to do as her sister said.
Be with him
