Birth - September, 2003
When Benjamin Anthony Parker was born, something about that night was different. It wasn't anything bad, no. That didn't seem to be the problem. The Parker's weren't sure if there was even a problem.
But, Mason Parker did manage to see the night sky, and he wondered if Thee had a plan for his son that was on the way. The stars twinkled more than before, the moon glistened against his skin, and the entire night sky was darker yet such a beautiful sight.
"Almost there, Mrs. Parker! One final push and you're do-" Mason's wife was leaving this Earth. She was nothing but a sweet and fragile woman.
"Take care of Benjy. I love both of you." Erin Parker said as she gave all she had into the final push.
"I will, Erin," Mason's voice cracked. "I love you the most, darling. Forever."
Not only had a life gone, but another one had just arose. And that life would be something that would change Mason forever.
One Month Old - October, 2003
Benjamin's crib was right next to a window. Though he did not withhold the best eyesight, he still managed to see the twinkling stars the night carried.
A day never went by that Mason never thought of Erin. He loved Benjamin as much as Erin loved both of them. Mason took great care of his son. He knew it wasn't Benjamin's fault for Erin's death, it would never be.
Mason knew that the Lord always has a plan, whether it's fair or not. Everything's always for a reason.
Two Months Old - November, 2003
As Benjy's eyesight got better, so did Mason. Benjamin became more attracted to the stars, however, Mason paid no mind to Benjy's addiction to the stars. Benjamin also became more attentive to his father as well.
Mason became adjusted to the thought of Erin being gone. It still broke his heart that she was no longer here. Erin always wanted to be a mother, and Mason knew it. She talked about how amazing it would be to have a child of her own. If she could, Erin would go on for hours about babies.
Three Months Old - December, 2003
Benjamin hadn't been breastfed. Ever. He'd drank formula since the day he was born. Benjy didn't mind because, well, he was used to it. However, he was able to makeout the stars more. And he was also able to recognize his father more.
Mason didn't know if that was bad for his son. Doctor's recommended that Ben got breastfed from other women. He declined immediately. Mason didn't want Benjamin to get attached to a different woman who wasn't his wife.
Four Months Old - January, 2004
Benjy didn't know who she was, but she looked like him. An infant. Muffled words came out of his father's mouth as he talked to another man.
