The bulldogs get the centre clearance and JJ bombs it into their 50. 5 players go up for the mark, but one bulldogs player takes a spectacular grab. It's Marcus Adams.
The siren goes. A goal will win it, a behind will draw the game.
As Marcus heads back to go for the shot, his eyes catches Jade's in the crowd. He tries to compose himself, but it's too hard.
Marcus drops the ball to his feet. Immediately, he knows he was made a huge mistake and regret fills his face. The ball came of the side of his boot.
Marcus's eyes hopefully follow the ball, but as it veers left of the goal, his heart sinks.
Half the crowd roar as the tigers song starts playing. Marcus's fellow teammates pat him on the back in an attempt to reassure him that everything was okay. but he knew it wasn't okay.
Bevo is going to be so disappointed. He will never be able to forgive himself for this. how stupid and naive of him to let a stupid girl get in the way of his career.
