Ai's POV
"Fire!" The commander screams. I already had a lock on the enemy and fired, the bullet killing him instantly when passing through his brain. I went on to the man in the cloak who seemed to be very mysterious but as soon as I set my sights on him, he had a machine gun pointed straight at me. Damn! I quickly picked up my rifle and began running out of his range. There! I see a piece of a building that collapsed during the 5th clash! I can use that for defense! I jump behind, explosion happened behind me, a second late and I would have been a goner!
"Ace! Do you read me?! Ace!" I hear my boss call me on my radio com. I had the radio com connected to headphones via bluetooth.
"I read you, sir. I'm ok. It would seem the target hired a very skilled bodyguard." I spoke through the com. I kept my voice low to not be heard. I can hear the enemy getting closer.
"It would seem so. Enemy is about 95 yards away and coming in fast." He warned. I brought my rifle to my chest. I have a state of the art Russian Mosin Nagant, one of the fastest rifles ever built.
"Permission to exterminate."
"Permission granted. Don't fail me."
"Don't plan to." I answer with a smile. Only a battlefield could make me feel so alive. I then begin running towards a broken tower in front of me, making sure not to be seen by the enemy. I begin running up the spiral staircase, jumping up a few floors every now and then. I finally made it to the top floor, not caring if the floor is stable or not. I lay down and lay my rifle down, and lock on my target. I soon lay eyes on the bodyguard but he's looking at me! Shit! He raises his machine gun and begins firing.
"Ace!" I hear the commander yell in concern. I just ignored him. I quickly jumped up off the building at the top floor. The bodyguard was shocked that I jumped. I aim my rifle at him. He saw what I was doing and began shooting at me. I guess this is the end... But I'll bring him down with me! I begin flipping and moving my body in different positions, dodging the bullets and locking in on him. 2 bullets hit me on my right leg, that's ok. This mission is too important to cry out in pain. I lock on him and shoot, Hitting him straight, head on, destroying his face along with his brain. I then brace myself for the impact, landing on my left leg and knees. The impact wasn't too great cause I have trained for much worse. I turn over and can see my leg bleeding like crazy. I look around and see the other enemies has been killed already.
"Ace!" I look and see my commander running to me, the rest of my team with him. His real name is Zak Smith, an american. I am half american, half japanese. He skids on his knees in front of me and rips off a piece of the fabric part of his uniform and began tying it on my leg, tying it with a lot of pressure to stop the bleeding.
"What were you thinking!?" He asked, clearly a bit pissed, "You could have died." His dirty blonde hair was covering his forehead and his deep blue eyes looking into my hazel ones. I looked at him with a serious, no emotion look too.
"The mission was to kill the enemy... I did." I answered. Zak sighed and helped me up. The other soldiers of our team waiting with us.
"Come on. Mission completed. It's time to go home."
