Oh well, I'll find out some other day.

"Good morning sleepyhead." That deep voice. Why did he sound so positive? It's early and last night was weird.

"What?" I started to blink my eyes open. "Why are you waking up already? Sleep is better right now." My foggy eyes looked to see Mark standing by the bed. "Why are you already up?"

"Because." Mark smiled as if that was an answer.

"Because what?"

He looked around and shrugged his shoulders. "Because." He gave a wide smile, clearly amusing himself.

I half smiled. "'Because' isn't really an answer."

"Then," he shrugged his shoulders in thought, "because it's a nice day outside and I want to do things with you."

"Things like what?" I repositioned myself, if the reasons are good maybe I'll get up.

"Things like, go on a walk or go see a movie."

"Heh." I smirked sitting up against the pillows. "Why?"

"Why question it," he laughed, "I just want to spend time with you, love." His crooked smile made me giggle.

"I think the lightning did a number on you."

"No," he laughed, "but it did do this to my arm." He held out his right arm, in-between the tattoos there were bright red marks going down. Each mark looking like it's own lightning streak.

"My God, what is that?"

"It's just some new tattoos." Mark laughed.

"Those aren't tattoos."

"No they aren't," he smiled, "apparently it happens when people get struck by lightning. It's just some temporary red lightning on my skin." He lifted his arm to show off his biceps. "Yeah these are battle scars." He laughed to himself, I kind of laughed, I hope it doesn't hurt.

"Temporary?" I repeated.

"Yeah, they won't be there forever sadly." He smiled again. His smile sat there silently as he waited for something to happen. "So time to get up." Quickly back to his movement he went to pull the blankets off of me.

"Come on." I whined out. "I'd rather sleep."

"Too bad," he laughed, "you're doing things with me today." He leaned in close to me as he grabbed both of my hands gentaly. He smiled lightly at me looking me in the eyes. "Hey," he let go of my left hand and cupped my cheek, "it's going to be fun." I guess he could see I wasn't up for it. It was strange to see how well he was at changing my mind.

"Promise?" Was the one thing I decided to say.

His smile grew teeth squinting his eyes more, pure joy. "I promise." He chuckled. "You just have to get up." He went back to grabbing my hands, as he stood up he pulled me with him.

"Okay." I laughed sitting up straight. Who knows, maybe this will actually be a bit fun. I know Mark wants it to be.

I just don't quite know why Mark wants this now.

Practically skipping out of the room and down the hall Mark yelled back, "You should move before that mellon in your stomach grows in."

"Did you just call the fetus a melon?" I placed my hands on my hips.

"Did you just call our baby a fetus?" Mark lookes at me like I was crazy before laughing his way down the stairs. Where is he even off to? I smirked and sped up my walking. It's kind of crazy what a ball of energy like Mark will do to you. I'm already feeling better.
