I stepped out of Noah's dark blue mustang. I heard my heels hit the ground with a clasp and I pushed my hair to the side to get it out of my face. I shut the door and walked up to Noah who was waiting for me at the front of the car. "Woah, Bell Reaper you look..." Noah couldn't even finish his sentence. I laughed at him. "Walk me to class?" I said walking in front of him and turn my head back. He smiled at me and said "anything my princess."

Walking through the halls I felt all eyes on me. I heard voices all over the place. When we reached my classroom and he took my hand in his. "Sit with me at lunch okay?" He said I smiled and nodded my head. When I walked into the classroom everyone looked at me like I was crazy. "Are you trying to fit in?" Said Shelly. I just ignored her. When class was over o walked over to my locker and opened it up to switch out my books. "Well I haven't seen this Bell Reaper before." I smiled at the voice and closed my locker. "I know but I thought change wouldn't hurt, plus you're the one who told me to fit in more and have fun in school." I said to Josh as he was leaned up against the lockers. "So what now? Are you going to go to parties and stay out late? Loose your virginity? Get your first kiss? Be Cinderella?" He said. "Well I don't know about the parties but I don't plan on loosing my virginity to some big jock with a 1.9 gpa." I said to him.

"Ouch princesses that hurt. But my gpa is a 3.6" I heard Noah say behind me. I felt a blush creep up on my face and smile at his words. I turn around and face him. "Well maybe I wasn't talking about you stud?" I said back joking around. He laughed and said "well Reggie does have a 2.0 but I guess that's not too much better." He said back. We laughed and then I heard a cough interrupting us. I turned to see Josh still there. "Noah this is Josh. My best friend." I said giving Josh a smile. Noah stuck his hand out and smiled while Josh gave him a 'what are you planning look' as he shook it. "Nice to meet you Josh." Noah said.

"We've been in the same class for 5 years. You used to copy my homework in science." Josh said. Noah's face lit up. "Oh you're that guy? That was in 8th grade, I hope you don't hold grudges for 2 years" Noah said back. The bell rang and Noah grabbed his book back from off the ground. "I'll see you at lunch Princess." He said and he touch the tip of my chin and left to go to class. I felt a goofy smile creep up on my face. "What are you doing?" Josh asked as we walked to class. "Honestly I don't know. I know I shouldn't have to change my style to want to fit in or-." I was cut off by Josh saying "I mean with Noah."

"What do you mean?" I asked as we sat down by each other in Zoology. "I mean why are you two all flirty and stuff?" He said I looked down. " were just joking around I think. He's with Shelly and I think he feels bad for me." I said to Josh. I took out my text book and waited for the teacher to enter the room. "Why would Noah Johnson feel bad for you? When has he ever taken any interest  in you?" Josh said making me think. "Well I was walking home and I bumped... Well he ran into me and knocked me out. So he took me home after I woke up and he saw..." I started to trail off feeling the tears build up in my eyes. I've never told Josh about my mom or how she beats me.

"Continue... what did he see Bell?" He said. "Look Josh I haven't told you this because I don't anyone knowing.." I said. "But Noah can know. Someone you literally just met yesterday." He said angrily. "Josh I never said I wasn't going to tell you." I said and before I could say anymore he left the class. I looked down feeling bad. What did I do wrong?

After class I went straight to the lunch room and heard my name. "Bell! Over here!" I looked and saw Noah. I walked over to him with a smile. He introduced me to all of his friends. We laughed and had a good time at lunch. When the bell rang we all went to our last class which I had with Noah. Algebra. When I sat down in my normal seat Noah sat down beside me instead of with Reggie who he usually sits by. "You know you're going to make your boyfriend super jealous." I said with a smile. He smirked at me and said "he can wait his turn." I laughed a bit. After class we walked out of the school. "Let me give you a ride home." He said with sympathy in his eyes. "Are you sure? This isn't because of what you saw yesterday?" I asked him. He shook his head "no I just wanna make sure you get home." I smiled at his remark.

We were right at his car when I heard the most annoying voice I could. "Noah. What's going on here?" Shelly asked. "What do you mean?" Noah asked back as he held the door open for me. "Why are you giving her a ride home?" She asked with venom in her voice. "Shelly calm down he's giving me a ride home. It's not like we're going to check out a hotel room" I said to her. "No one asked you frog." She said. I laughed at her. "What's funny? Amuse me?" She said. I looked her and said "it's just that's a new one. Frog. Usually it's pig which makes no since because I'm skinny as a rail. Or it's witch because my hair is black. Or you're just a plain bitch sometimes and call me ugly. So frog was just took me by surprise." I said feeling myself smile.

What was happening where did this confidence come from.
