(Y/N) looked up at the trees. There were bits and pieces of sunlight poking through the leaves. The trees hung over the road providing a forgiving shade to the troops. There were about 50 soldiers accompanied by a warden, a conqueror, and a lawbringer. Up ahead they could see their peacekeeper scouting for any activity. She was darting from tree to tree, looking around like a hawk. (Y/N) stared blankly ahead as he thought to himself.
"Anna does a damn good job at what she does. I bet she doesn't even know what the word break means. There's a lot of weight on her shoulders, on all of our shoulders. Our lives depend on if she can prevent an ambush. Leonardo has to successfully be able to lead everyone and keep morale up."
(Y/N) looked to his left at the warden that was in charge. He held his sword in his left hand by it's blade. He turned around to see a conqueror being followed by soldiers in five rows of ten. They all had wooden shields and basic swords. The conqueror had a thick shield and a flail. He nodded at me and I nodded back.
"He has to lead the charge and fight with all he's got. He's always the first to fight but he has to make sure that he's there till the end. Exhausting. No one could kill Brock. He's a living tank so his chances are good. Meanwhile I have to protect Leonardo with my life. If anything ever happened to him, my ass would be grass. I guess they would have to keep me since I have to protect Leo as well; but I'd rather not gamble with those odds. There isn't anyone for miles who is better than me, he'll be fine."
Anna came running down the road at full sprint. Leonardo, the warden, held up a fist. The small army we had completely stopped in unison. Once she was a few feet from us she slowed down.
"There are about 70 or so troops up ahead. They had red and black armor. There was a lawbringer and a warden as well. They had tents and a fire pit there. I believe they were planning to spend the night there." She said without catching her breath. She did have great stamina.
Leonardo nodded, "They shouldn't be anywhere near here. I guess dad did say that there were foreign soldiers trespassing on his lands. We need to go escort them out of here pronto."
"A lawbringer and a warden. That combination can only mean something bad. Lawbringers only leave the castle when something important is going on. I'd better be on my toes."
They all began to march forward. There was no use sneaking up on them since there were so many of them. Brock ran ahead a little to walk beside us.
"I hope I get to smash some heads in." Brock said sadistically.
Leonardo gave a slight chuckle. "Be ready just in case it turns that way."
At the tree line where the sun began to shine brightly with no objections, there were tents on both sides of the road. It was about 4:00 pm so I see why they were preparing. It would have been bad for them if they had to setup camp in the trees. Leonardo told us how he wanted things to go as we approached them. As we got closer, they all began to scramble together for battle. We got to the treeline and the shade acted like a border line to battle. Leonardo started things off.
"Where are your commanders?" He demanded.
All the soldiers nervously looked at each other. Two figures began to make their way through the crowd. It was the lawbringer and the warden. We all knew who they were by their colors. Red and black signify the Reaper Legion. Their banners had the top half of the grim reaper with his scythe.
"What are you doing in our region? You know you are forbidden to even be close to the border!" Leonardo demanded.
"What? We were just marching around. I just wanted to get a good view of the lands." The warden explained.
