silence surrounds the dull white walls encasing a boy as he looks toward his left. he stares questioningly at the heart monitor beeping in time with his own pulse.
then he realized.
it failed.
again.
silent sobs wrack his entire body violently. he clawed at his chest until the nurses rushed in to sedate the boy before he continued his self destruction.
but what was left to destroy?

"baby, are you okay?" a mother asks her young son, whose gaze did not waver from the bleeding scratch left on his knee.
he did not answer the woman, but instead begins to lay back down in the long grass.
"we need to clean your injury, baby. let's go." she stretched her hand out towards her son, rubbing his hair before picking him up carefully.
the boy breathes out in annoyance at the constant babying, but refrains from saying anything to upset her.
why am i still here?

|hey, so i'm finally publishing something :))) this idea has been around since maybe last year??? might be this year, but this idea stemmed off of another idea i have in my drafts that may or may not be tossed.
this story might be all over the place and finicky in some spots because despite taking ap english last year, tenses and other grammar stuff are quite a mess. i have an idea where i want this story to go, but since it's not completely laid out, i will not have a schedule.
please bare with me (- -;)|
