Jasmine's POV

The three of us were gathered in the living room, it was Sunday but all eyes were fixed on the tv.

An official police report has been released. Kang Mintae, 20 years old and a student of Craigmond University has been found dead last night in the parking lot of the Busan Guardhouse. Her body was inside her car when she was strangled to death. The police officers and detectives are now interrogating everyone that could help the case.

"We will all release further informations in the conference hall. Please follow us" Officer Jaekhyun stated and our reporter together with other reporters from different broadcasting station were now waiting for the conference to start

My brother and I only looked at each other before our eyes set back to the screen. The video of the local head police officers in a conference hall was now playing. The bold letters 'Craigmond University Serial Killings: White Rose Serial Killer' were written in the left side corner of the screen, the anchor giving as insights of what the news is all about.

'The gruesome discovery of 4 bodies of the students of Craigmond University has terrified the residents and students of the said school and stumped investigators. The police linked the bodies to one person, leading for the investigation to announced as made by a potential serial killer, whom until now they couldn't find.

The investigators at a news conference showed the photographs of the body part of the victim, the carvings as well as the significant pieces of evidence collected at the initial stage of the investigation: a white rose and a sterling paper embossed with a message and a single initial 'J'.

"We do believe that this items together with the carvings and a body part of the victims was the killer's way of showing us their signature." Lee Jaekhyun, the Head Officer Investigator, said at the news conference of Busan Guardhouse Headquarters."

Haera's evidences flashed through the screen including the message "Rumors and your legs are the only things you're best at spreading. You can never do both anymore. J"
And her carvings "she deserves this."

Woobin's message "You destroyed many woman's dignity, it's only appropriate I do the same to your face. J"
And his carvings "Boy needs to be taught a lesson."

Geum Areum's message "The possessor is gone and it's only appropriate for the pet to follow their steps. J"
And her carvings "You should have behave yourself like a good dog you are."

And the latest victim, Kang Mintae's message "You have sinned for trying to tell them about me and that sin must be dealt with in a radical way if need be. J"
And her carvings "If thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee."

Did the killer seriously used a bible verse for his crimes? The fucking audacity.

"The announcement led the reporters to ask the question: why now publicize the evidences?

Officer Jaekhyun said, "we have decided now to leverage news program for hints that could possibly aid us for this case and also a public knowledge that we are dealing with someone who knows how to kill without leaving prints."

"Also, to whomever knows the whereabouts of our prime suspect. Kindly give us a call so we could interrogate him."

Everyone was advised to never let your children walking alone in the streets, bar your windows and doors until the killer is caught and keep safe. This is the Busan Daily Bulletin, reporting."

My mother turned off the tv, she stood up and was holding her chest, massaging it to keep it from aching.

"Mom please stop panicking" Jin stood up to aid our mother

"How could I stop panicking when both of you could all be in danger. It was already on the news, it means it is already out of the polices' hand!" Jin sighed as he gave my mother a glass of water to calm her down

"You are not going to school anymore!"

"But mom! We are a graduating students" both jin and I said in unison, we only look at each other before looking back to our mother

"So? I'd rather choose you not to graduate for this year than to see you dead! You have seen the news." We didn't said anything, we are both somehow scared as well. No one knows the serial killer's identity so it's really dangerous for us. Also, it looks like the killer were oddly targeting students in our school which were a group of people known for bullying. Jung Haera, Ang Woobin, Geum Areum and now Kang Mintae. Just what in the world is this killer thinking? Why are they targeting students from Craigmond University? Does he thought the people would thank them for killing those students? They might be bullies but they're also human and have family.

My phone vibrated on my pocket, Namjoon was calling me. I walk to the kitchen before taking the call

"Joonie?"

"Jas, have you heard the news? The latest victim was Kang Mintae."

"We've seen the news, we were startled as well, the killer just killed two victims in a row and they happened to be someone related to the first case"

"I don't know but I'm guessing the killer was after the bullies in our school. Haera, Woobin, Areum and now Mintae. If my thoughts was right then..

Byeon Cassandra is in trouble." We both said in unison. I covered my mouth, he was right. If the killer is after the bullies in Craigmond then Cassandra being the next victim is highly possible!

"We need to tell the authorities!" I exclaimed, both mom and Jin was startled at my voice. I claimed my bag to go to the authorities but Jin stopped me before I could open the door

"Where are you going?"

"Jin we need to tell the authorities, if Namjoon and I's thoughts were correct, that the killer were after the bullies of Craigmond high then there's a possibility that Cassandra is in danger!" Jin's eyes widened, he pick up the pieces, my mom on the other side of the room grab my hand

"We're going to call the police, you're not going anywhere right now Kim Jasmine nor you Kim Seokjin, I'm not letting you slip out of my sight, not unless that killer is caught. Both of you will be under my supervision."

My mom called the authorities, not knowing someone was carelessly listening to our conversation from his room. No one in the house knew that he planted a bug inside the Kim's house so he would be able to listen to their conversations from miles away.

He smirk knowing that the love of his life finally catches on his plan. A loud thud was heard and a muffled cry of a woman echoed through the thick walls of his cabin. His next victim is finally awake.

He took off the woman's blindfold and seated on the chair in front of her. The moment she saw his face tears couldn't stop from falling in her eyes, her body turned stiff as she cannot believe that someone like him could do this to her. He gave her the brightest smile he could muster because starting now he will make her life dark and dull.

"It's good to see you again, Byeon Cassandra."
