The rest of the day Danny had me sitting at Barry's desk taking editing 101, but honestly, I was only half listening. I've been through an entire year of this stuff, went to college for it much to my parent's dismay. I learned how to edit, how to animate, and I even learned how to use a professional camera. "And so, you drag this over here, and you click this and that and...you should be done." He says and after giving me the half hour long lecture handed the laptop to me. I surprised him and had it done in less than twenty minutes. "Wow, you're good at this Ava." He says. I just chuckled and handed him the laptop back. I wasn't going to go into a whole story about my life right now, and so I kept my mouth shut.

I got up off the office chair and went over to Ross, who was doing basically the same stuff as Barry but also checking his Twitter. I sat in a bean bag chair next to his desk and he swiveled to look at me. "What can I do for ya Ava?" he asks. I shrugged. "Are you bored? Maybe I have something to cure that." He says and opens his drawer. He pulled out a tablet, it was a drawing tablet. "Knock yourself out, well not literally, but...you know what I mean." He says. I took it into my hands and looked around to find something to draw...only one thing came in mind though. My freaking boss.

Soon enough, the day was over, and I had set the tablet on Ross' desk since he went home early because his wife Holly was cooking dinner. I wasn't going to put it back in his drawer due to his privacy. "Ava, do you need a ride home?" I hear Dan's voice ask, I nodded. I wasn't going to walk back in the dark anyways.

"So, where do you live?" he asks. "Take a left here, then a right, then keep driving straight." I directed. He listens and soon we were parked in front of the motel I called home for a few weeks. His eyebrows furrowed in frustration, as if he was not happy at all with where I was staying. "You know, you could always come stay at my house." He suggests. "I don't want to be a bother to you Danny, you hired me and that's enough help. Thanks for the offer though." I say, he wasn't happy with that answer though. Looking at me with puppy dog eyes, was he trying to bribe me to stay with him? "It's the least I could do, you look like you have nothing. I want my employee to be happy too, besides what if that jerk found you here? He hit you, what else do you think he'd do?" he says. He was definitely bribing me. I know what Cole would do, he'd do what he always used to do, but right now I didn't want to think about it. "I guess it'd be better than getting some kind of disease." I shrugged making his face light up. "Yes!" he cheers. "I just have to go in and get my stuff and return the key to the manager." I reply and open my door. His door opened too, "I'm coming with you, only because this place looks a bit shady." He says. (would ya say... slim shady?)

As soon as we entered the cheap motel room the sound of the couple having fun next door was heard, making my cheeks flush red. I hurried and gathered my things and slammed the door closed, Dan following behind me, oblivious about the noises. I handed the key back to the manager, who surprisingly gave me my money back. "Oh, a man in a grey car stopped by and asked where you were while you was gone." the manager tells me. "If he stops again, please don't mention that I was here." I reply, and he nodded his head. I trusted him not to tell, and even if he did Cole would never find me.

Soon enough, we were in Dan's driveway. A large beautiful house looking like it was designed to fit a whole family. "Home sweet home." He says and opens the door for us. The house was clean, there was no dust on anything, and it looked way better than the motel. "Do you live alone?" I ask, "Yeah, why?" he replies. "Because there was a rumor online that you lived with Barry." I reply. "Oh, that rumor. It was true until the past year, I finally wanted my own house." He replies and takes off his coat to hang on the fancy coat rack, I did the same.
