Zeus's Daughter

Percy and I started to walk to school together, halfway there we were stopped by a black man around our age with very short black hair, he was warring a hoodie and some brown pants,

"Hey Percy, who's the hottie?" He says the last part quietly so I wouldn't hear but I heard anyways, which made me blush and look away,

"Grover, this is Zuri. Zuri, this is Grover." Says Percy introducing us,

"Nice to meet you." I say flashing a kind smile,

"Oh you're British?"

"Yeah." I say furrowing my eyebrows together at the end in confusion,

"Grover? Why would you ask that? She's obviously British." Percy says,

"Well... Percy can I talk to you?" Asks Grover,

"Sure." Percy says sounding confused.

Percy's POV:
"I'll be right back, Zuri." I say and she nods,

"Take you're time." She says and pulls out some earbuds, Grover and I walk a few feet ahead and talk,

"You have heard of the legend of Zeus's daughter, right?" He asks,

"No why?" I ask,

"Because Zuri is just like the girl in the legend! The legend goes that once Zeus was on earth in London and he meets this beautiful girl with Dark brown hair and eyes of emeralds, they fall in love and get married, eventually the woman becomes pregnant, she gives birth to a beautiful girl that looks just like Zeus, they named her Zuri, about six months after Zuri's birth her mother was killed by one of Zeus's enemies, Zeus can't stay on earth forever and he can't bring a child up with him, so he give her to a care taker a half goat half human like me, a gay half goat with tan skin and light blond hair" He says and describes the Faun that dose sound like her father,

"His name was Phill, what a boring name, anyways when they left her they gave her a choker with a locket on it, inside is a picture of the hole family, Zeus, the lady, and the baby, with the engraving on the outside saying, 'mommy and daddy will forever love you and be with you, no matter what.' Pretty cheesy but it's what happened."

"Grover, we don't if any of that's true. It's a legend and anyways she doesn't have a locket."

"How do you know she doesn't have it? Maybe she just doesn't ware it, and I thought by now after everything you would be more open minded about things, Percy!"

"Whatever, just don't mention any of this to her I don't wanna scare her." I say and both hear a scream we turn around to see a Furie holding on to Zuri high up in the air,

"Zuri!" I yell, in useless hope.

Zuri's POV:

I was listening to The Script when something or someone grabbed me and pick me up, it was nothing but skin with no arm, just wing, bold with sharp teeth, I scream trying to wiggle out of its grasp,

"Zuri!" I hear Percy yell,

"Let go of me!" I yell not really knowing what to say,

"You will pay for your father's sins!" It yells in a shrill, scary voice,

"My father? He's just a normal person!" I say confused,

"Not that father, your other father!" It shreaks,

"I don't even know my real father! Let me go!" I yell and and th rage consumes me.

Percy's POV:

Zuri begins to glow a blinding white, she screams as a light flashes and she falls to the ground landing perfectly, crouching from the impact, about 10 feet away in the middle of the street is the creature burnt to a crisp.

Zuri's POV:

My blood bowls and I scream harshly as a flash of white light goes off, I land on my feet completely fine, I look at the creature and then at all the people staring with their mouths wide open, fear consumes me and I look at Percy one last time before running home,

"Zuri!" I hear him yell after me but I don't stop, I get home and lock the door behind me, I push my back against the cold wooden door and slide down it sitting against it with my knees to my chest crying,

"Zuri! What's wrong!? Why aren't you at school?!" I hear my dad yell and I was only able to squeeze out three words, three terrible words he understood all to well,

"It...
Happened...
Again..."
