Lexi's POV
The warm sun shown through the windows in my new room,in my new house,in a new place. Today was my first day of primary school.Mummy said that it's not like my old daycare,that primary school is for big kids.I couldn't wait to be a big girl. I heard footsteps and pretended to be asleep. My mummy came in and started whispering my name. I fluttered my eyes open and looked at her.She has red hair and green eyes,unlike me. I have brown hair and brown eyes,like my dad. I got up, and she smiled. "Are you ready for your big day,love?" she questioned. Quickly,I nodded my head. She told me to go wash my teeth, and when I came back,my new uniform was on my made bed. I slipped it on and headed down my steps. I ate my breakfast quick, while mom put my hair in pigtails.She smiled warmly and took a picture,and we got in the car and left.
When I stepped into the classroom, kids where laughing and having fun playing. Everyone had a playmate,except for this one boy,that looked familiar. I walked over to him, and he smiled. "Hey! I know you! I went over to your house last night with my mum, and we brought you fairy bread!Oh, I am Niall by the way, what's your name?" The first thing I thought was that this boy was talkative,before I responded "Lexi Goodman" and he nodded. I looked at his paper,and asked him what it was. He told me about the picture,how it was he and Greg,his brother, looking sad while his mum and dad were yelling. Suddenly, he said " I want to call you Lex!"I said, "my name is Lexi!" And he said he likes Lex better.Then I said, "fine, Niallers!" with a smirk on my face."NO ITS NIALL" he said. We turned around and didn't speak for a few moments before he said, "I don't like fighting." We agreed and then pinkie-promised. "Best friends?!" I asked and he nodded and said, "best friends!"
