Dani POV

In skinny jeans and a T-shirt, at first sight Dani looked like a normal high school student. She wasn't.

Deep in the forest,where no one could see, she'd come to feed before school. Now she licked at her gums, teeth, and lips, to make sure there wasn't a stain on them. She wondered how did she end up in LA.What made her think she could do this? She was tired of running around from state to state,city to city,country to country. She was tired of hiding, running from place to place, most if all she was tired of being alone. She didn't know how she ended up in LA, But she was here and there was no turning back now. She placed the squirrel gently on the ground.Moving silently, she made her way toward the edge of the forest. She went to where her car was parked, and drive to school not wanting to be late on the second day of school.

"Hey" someone said behind her. Dani was at her locker putting her history book away, and reaching for her gym clothes when she heard the voice. She turned around to meet Marisol, one of Kae's friends who she sat with at lunch. "What's up?" she asked . "I was wondering if you would...umm there's this party and I was hoping youd come for Kae". she stammered. "For Kae?" I asked. "Yeah like she likes you alot" Marisol blurted out. I agreed to go, giving her my number so she could text me the details about the party. The bell rang signaling it was time for 5th period. So she likes me. I walked to class thinking about the party, and hoping maybe I'd see her there.
