"Hello, Harry!" Lily said, while walking to her son. "Merry Christmas, sweetheart!"

"Merry Christmas to you too, mom! Where's dad?"

"He's home, preparing dinner," His mom said.

"Can he cook well?" Harry asked his mom. She laughed.

"If he couldn't, he would have been here and I wouldn't." Lily grabbed her son's suitcase, which Harry had placed behind him in the alleyway they met. Lily couldn't have come to Kings Cross, of course. There were too many risks.

Lily held out her hand and Harry grabbed it. They apparated back home.

"Your father is in the kitchen, probably stressing out over something. Why don't we go decorate your room?"

"Uh, sure mom, why not?" Lily and Harry walked into the manor, and immediately upstairs.

When they arrived in the room, Harry saw that his room already had a red colour.

"Did you do that, mom?" He asked.

"Yes, I did. Do you like it?"

"I LOVE IT! It's the biggest room I've ever had! Even our dorm room is smaller and we have to share that one with the five of us," Harry told his mom.

"It isn't finished yet, love. We still need to put a bed in here, and a dresser, and we need to make everything ready for Christmas. Luckily we can do that really easily, so prepare yourself."

Harry stepped back as his mother cast a spell. It made a double bed appear. After the next spell, there was a huge dresser and his mother had summoned a little Christmas tree with golden decorations. Harry loved his new room. So much space, a huge bed, and beautiful Gryffindor-themed Christmas decorations. He ran towards his mom and hugged her.

"Thank you so much, mom," He told her.

"It's no problem, sweetheart. I love you."

They walked downstairs to find Remus and James waiting for them with a couple of drinks.

"Welcome home, Harry," James said, while holding out a glass of pumpkin juice for his son.

Harry hugged his dad and took the glass. "Thanks, dad."

The next morning, Harry waked up early. He was confused for a moment, before he realized he was in his new bedroom. He changed to his normal clothes and went downstairs, where James was already making pancakes.

"Good morning Harry, have you slept well?"

"Hello dad, I slept pretty well," Harry greeted back.

"That's good. I am making pancakes for everyone, do you want a couple?"

"Of course, dad. Do I need to help you?"

"No no no, you can do whatever you want, the Dursleys already gave you a hard enough time. At least, I assume from the stories." Harry smiled. He was happy to not have to be alone at Hogwarts or do everything at Privet Drive.

Then, Lily also came walking down. She yawned and greeted her little family.

"Good morning mom," He said.

"Did you sleep well in your new bed, Harry?" She asked.

"I slept wonderful. I have so much room now."

"Pancakes are ready, come to the kitchen!" They heard James yelling from the kitchen. Lily hugged her son and they walked to the kitchen to enjoy some pancakes.
