               STRENGTH
Is what I lack.

The ability to stand up for my self. And speak up when something is wrong.

I can't do it.
——————————————————

In the mornings, I don't set my self an alarm clock.
The only alarm clock is my dad, and he specifically wakes me up at 8:00.

And he won't just shake me.

He will scream at me to get up, and slap me until I was up.
But I got used to it.

And he did it this morning, this bright early Monday morning. The best day of the week. (Note my sarcasm)
All I wanted to do was stay in bed. Why? Because, it was the first day of my junior year!!!
That's why!!!

My bullies will keep on bullying me, my responsibilities increase even more, homework will get harder (as if it wasn't already) and people might start to change.
I mean, of course people change, but now we need one more year to be seniors. And then we'll be in college.

But also the major thing is bullying for me.
Most people found it easy to bully me when I  was a sophomore because I would always keep my head down.

I didn't want to get into any drama, that would draw attention to me.

And I could even stand up to my dad and tell him that I'm tired of him always pushing me to-

WAKE UP!!!!" My dad yelled, his voice sounded louder than usual.
I stirred a little.

Then I felt a sting on my cheeks and quickly shot out of bed.
I put my palm on my cheeks, and the pain shot to them, harder.

My eyes took s few seconds to adjust to my setting but after a while the haze in my vision was cleared.

When looked around my room, everything looked normal, my dad was next to my bed, but the odd thing was, he had a megaphone in his hands!

A megaphone!!?!!!!!

I looked at the megaphone then back at him again.

"Well don't just sit there," My dad said through the megaphone, which I'm pretty sure China could hear.

I took my covers off of me and dragged my self out of bed putting on my slippers before heading to the bathroom.
My dad followed me to the bathroom, and I began brushing my teeth.

"Okay, now brush your upper teeth!!!" My dad ordered through the megaphone.

I quickly brushed my teeth and put mouthwash, like my dad reminded me to.
And next you might think I put on my clothes.

No!!

Next my dad makes me work out for 10 minutes, lifting dumbbells and running on the treadmill.

My dad wants me to make the football team this year so he had me practice all summer.
My dad was on the football team when he was in high school. No wonder. He looked well built for a man in his 40's. Even though he had a few grey hairs, which you could nearly notice with his light blonde hair.

I would lift the dumbbells for fight minutes, then take the other five minutes to run the treadmill.

In the summer, it was much worse, because we had the whole day, and there was no school.

"Okay, go take a shower sport, you stink." He said waving away my toxic fumes.

I grabbed my towel and wiped off my sweat before heading to the bathroom.

When I got downstairs, breakfast smelled delicious.
My mom made pancakes with chocolate chips on it. And she also handed out other topping to add to our pancakes.

I made sure not to spill anything on my outfit.
Today, I didn't bother styling my shaggy blonde hair and just let it go wild. I was wearing a white shirt with bold words saying Just Do It. And I was wearing black jeans with white Nike's.

I spread chocolate syrup around my pancakes, along with some strawberries.
That workout totally wasn't worth it.
And my dad gave me a look. But I ignored it and took a bite of my pancakes.

After my mom makes her pancakes she comes and sits with us, with a coffee.
She doesn't put anything on her pancakes, she says she likes it like that.

"So, are you excited for school?" My Mom asked, while sipping her orange juice.

I gave her a nod. Not paying to much attention to her.

"You think you'll make the football team?" She asked once more and got my full attention.

"I think so?" It was more of a question.

"You don't think so-." My dad started, banging the table. "You know so."

I gave him a nod.

I know so.

So when we arrived at school, I was hesitant to leave the car.
I watched as everyone made their way into the building, and it seemed like there were 2x the people then I expected.

My dad drove me to school, and we was starting to tell me how when he arrived at school, he walked in like he owned the place.

I told him, it was too obnoxious to do that.

But after a while of sitting in the car, I got out.
Into the dangerous world.

And there was no coming back. ( there is, you can just go back home, but it sounded more dramatic)

"Go Zackary, make your old man proud!!!" My dad called out to me, which got a few people's attention.

But that only made me quicken my pace, and I ended up bumping into someone.

I didn't see the face, but the person was about to my shoulders, and had brown wavy hair with the tips cyan blue.
She had an edgy/tomboy style to her, which I thought was cool.

"Watch it!" She yelled to me, and that was all she said, before walking away. I did even see her face.

But I walked into the building, determined to keep my head held high.

That's how I want it to be.
