A/N: please don't be too hard on me in this part! I have no idea how airports work because I've never been to one!
"This is it," you thought to yourself, "this is when I get to ride an airplane!" You walked through the large glass doors of the airport and approached a metal detector. You set your things down on the belt and passed through without setting it off. After getting your luggage back, you walked over to the big desk that lined the back wall.
"(Y/N) Pellegrini, that's P-E-L-L-E-G-R-I-N-I. I bought the flight to Chicago." The woman at the computer added this information and brought up your flight information. The small printer beside her computer printed out your ticket, and she handed it to you.
"There you are ma'am, please have a seat over there-" she gestured towards a large assortment of seats- "and wait until your flight is called on the PA system." You headed over and picked a seat that was facing the large window that covered most of a wall. You glanced over your shoulder and saw miniature food vendors, like McDonald's and Pizza Hut. You weren't exactly hungry, though, and you knew your flight was leaving soon.
As you gazed out the window onto the runway, something odd caught your eye. Very far away was a figure that seemed to be wearing a dirty, white cloak. The hood was pulled over its face, so you couldn't determine the gender. It appeared to lift its head and look straight at you. All of a sudden, chills ran down your spine. Then it disappeared in a cloud of blue-grey fog.
You glanced over to the other citizens, but none of them seemed to notice what just happened. You wiped the sweat off your brow and it surprised you- you hadn't realised you were even sweating.
"Flight 713 to Chicago, boarding starts in 5 minutes." The PA system broadcasted it all over the airport and you could hear it echoing. "That was so weird..." you though to yourself. "I must have been hallucinating." The large clock said 1:45, so you checked your phone one last time before boarding. A message from an unknown number popped up on the screen. You unlocked your phone and clicked on the message. It read, "I know who you are. It's a shame they brought you into this. I don't want to have to do this to you, but I will if it means my redemption. You had better watch your back. I have all kinds of tricks up my sleeve. -R".
"Who the hell? There's not even a number that goes with this... it just has the name 'R'... I don't have that in my contacts." Now you were starting to feel uneasy. "Does this have anything to do with what I just saw..? Surely not," you deleted the message and tucked your phone back into your pocket.
"Flight 713 to Chicago, now boarding, gate 18." You gatherer all of your luggage and started walking to the gate. Luckily, it was only gate 18, so you didn't have that far to walk.
~Time skip so I don't have to write how all this happens!~
You found your row and sat down in the seat that was closest to the window. You looked out it and saw the wing of the plane. A man sat down next to you, disrupting your thoughts. He looked rather young, a bit younger than you. Then all of a sudden it hit you- this man was no average passerby. It was frickin' Tom Holland, famous actor known for playing Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers Infinity War.
"Hi, I'm Tom, looks like we're going to be flying together," he said, with a nice smile on his face. "I know you! Listen, I'm a huge fan of yours, and I feel so lucky to get to sit next to you!" You tried to keep yourself calmed down, because you didn't want to scare him. You really were a fangirl of his... sad but true. You had a Pinterest board dedicated to him that had over one thousand pins. "That's so cool! Do you have a name?" He playfully inquired. "Oh, y-yeah, I totally forgot about that... sorry. My name's (Y/N) Pellegrini. I'm from Boston." You mentally slapped yourself because you were staring at him in a semi-creepy way. "Well, I'm just heading to Chicago and then getting a flight to LA to work on the next Spider-Man movie, where are you headed?"
"I'm heading to Chicago and then my friend Joseph is picking me up to head to a small place called Krimson City. I'm a detective and I'm getting transferred from here to there," he rubbed his hands on his pants to wipe off the sweat. Apparently, you were both pretty nervous. "Cool, a detective! Honestly though, acting's a pretty sweet job. I wouldn't trade it for any other job in the world. I make so many friendships with the other actors and actresses and I have so much fun filming."
The plane started to move forward, and it scared you a bit. Tom noticed. "Hey, it's ok, we're just about to take off. Is this your first time?" Dang. I embarrassed myself in front of my celebrity crush. "Yeah, I'm... I'm fine. Just kinda startled me a bit, ya know?"
"Yeah, I getcha. My first plane ride was quite the thrill," he stated, matter-of-factly, "but on another note, uh, is it ok if I rest for a bit?"
"Yeah, that's fine, I imagine working on movies and everything is tough work. I'll wake you when we get close to landing," you voiced. Getting to be an alarm clock for Tom would be amazing!
You gazed out at the sky as you flew. It was so peaceful, all the clouds rolling by on a sea of blue. It was so peaceful, in fact, that you started to doze off...
...
"You didn't help me... you did this to me! Where were you when I needed you?!" The man looked very worried. "No... Lily... I tried. I wanted to be there but I couldn't!" He raised his gun at the small child. "I know this is a trick... you won't fool me, Theodore!" The little girl started crying. "Is this how you solve your problems? By killing the ones who cause your pain and grief?"

BEEP-BEEP
BEEP-BEEP
BEEP-BEEP"What the.." your phone alarm was going off. "What was that? I don't remember the last time I had a dream like that... I don't even know who those people are," you opened up your phone. "I didn't set this alarm..." You tapped on the alarm app and saw an alarm labelled "Wouldn't Want You to Miss Your Chance". You were starting to think these weird occurrences had something to do with the hooded figure you saw in the airport.
It seemed like you were about to land, so you reached over and nudged Tom. "Hey, wake up, seems like we're here," you said gently. "Ungh... already? I barely got any sleep..."
~Time skip to entering Chicago's airport~
"Oh yeah, (Y/N)... do you.. have a phone number that I could uh, contact you with? I'd kinda like to stay in touch if that's alright," he asked. Oh my god. The Tom Holland was asking you for your phone number!
"Of course, it's (XXX)-XXX-XXXX," he typed it into his phone as you said it. "Thanks. I'll be sure to keep in touch," he looked so cute right now. "If you get a text from a strange number that says something like "This is Tom", don't freak out, it's probably me," he joked.
"Yeah, I'll keep an eye out," you laughed. "Hey, it was nice meeting you, Tom. Good luck on Spider-Man!" You waved as he walked off. "I should probably text Joseph now," you thought.
You looked for a spot to go and then texted him. "I'm in the souvenirs shop, come look for me". You looked around at the various mugs and mini-figures of various superheroes and TV shows. You found a keychain of Spider-Man's suited head. "9 bucks?! You're kidding! This is highway robbery... something that cheap should be free," you thought.
"(Y/N)!" It was Joseph! "Jojo!" You embraced in a long hug. "It's been too long, Frau Frau," you remembered the first time you gave each other your nicknames. Since you had a large German ancestry, he decided to call you a German nickname, Frau Frau, which was a cute version of Fräulein, which meant young woman.
The name you used most often was Jojo, but when you were both getting really crazy or funny together, you busted out Starky... which was indeed after Tony Stark. Both of you loved Marvel's movies and comics. Every time there's a new movie coming out, you both watch it together. Maybe not as soon as it comes out, but you make sure to not see it before watching it together.
"Well, Starky, it's been a few months... but it has seemed like forever." You both looked at each other and could tell what the other was thinking. "Hmm... you just got off an airplane, and you have that look in your eyes... it must be... AHA! You want to explore Chicago before we head to Krimson City. Well, have I got a surprise for you, because that's exactly what we're gonna do!"
"Man, Jojo, you know me too well... it's almost... scary," you both laughed for a bit.
"Chicago isn't going to sightsee itself! Last one to the car's a rotten egg," He exclaimed, already sprinting out. "I hate this guy sometimes," you let out a sigh and a smile crept to your face.
