I woke up this morning feeling fine enough. It's been several days since I last saw Lui, mostly because I actually have been avoiding the WBBA just to avoid seeing him. I still get chills every time I think about it.

My phone just went off. It's a text from Quon.

Hey, are you busy today?

I have to think about that for a second. I'm sure Xander is going to want to do something, probably go for a jog or something like that. It doesn't sound fun. At the very least, it doesn't sound as fun as spending time with my boyfriend.

No, I'm not busy, I respond.

Do you wanna hang out in the park?

The park. That sounds amazing. The thought of being there, amongst the grass and underneath the shade of the trees. The sunshine blaring down, causing the leaves to flash and sparkle like giant flecks of glitter. The sound of children playing on the slides and swingsets, the sound of parents talking as they sit on nearby benches, watching their children run rampant like a bunch of little animals.

It sounds perfect.

Quon's probably referring to the skate park, which is located in one specific corner of the park-park. I can already picture the sounds of the wheels of his skateboard as he rides down the halfpipe. He probably has some cool new trick to show me.

I imagine him doing a flippy-spinny thing and smile.

He knows so many tricks. He's tried to teach me how to do a few. I got the hang of a couple, but the thought of doing anything on a halfpipe makes my heart drop. I am nowhere near as skilled on a skateboard as he is.

Sure, I finally answer his text.

Awesome. Do you wanna meet me there right now?

Right now? Of course I do. The thought of sitting around in the dojo waiting for the time to come to go see the love of my life bores me.

Yes. Just let me get ready and I'll be right there.

Sweet. See you soon.

That marks the end of our text conversation. I stand up and get dressed. I head to the bathroom and brush my teeth. I then drag a comb through my hair. It hurts, a lot. My hair gets so tangled so easily, and it's really annoying. However, once I do manage to get through it, it feels really soft. Besides, I think I'd look weird with short hair.

Then again, I do wear it in a ponytail all the time.

I head for the hallway, and back into my bedroom. I grab my phone, and the second I do, it vibrates in my hand. I check and see that it's a call coming in. I recognize the number, but just barely.

"Hello?" I answer it.

I don't hear a reply.

"Hello?" I say again.

I hear the dial tone.

I stare at my phone, and watch as the 'call ended' screen vanishes, turning into my lock screen again, which is a picture of Quon.

It's a cute picture. He didn't want his picture taken, but I took the picture anyway. He tried to hide his face behind his hands, but he failed miserably. I can still see his embarrassed, smiling face, and his pink cheeks, and his open eyes peering at me through his fingers.

He's so sweet. I love him so much.

I stick the phone in the pocket of my jacket, and it starts vibrating again. I pull it out, and see it's another text from Quon, thankfully, and not another call from that mystery number.
