Marinette P.O.V.

"Marinette! Wake up," I heard a voice say. I slowly opened my eyes and extended my arms, attempting to stretch, but was regretfully greeted with a sharp sting of pain. A groan escaped my mouth and I quickly brought my arm close to my chest. Then, I looked up to see Chat Noir, sitting upright with his eyes wide and mouth open.

"H-Hey, Chat. I didn't know y-you would've slept over, we could've gone to my b-bed... I mean! I wouldn't have gone with you! Unless you wanted me too... but that's not important! Um, good morning?" I said fumbling for words. Looking up, I saw Chat had tears forming in his eyes, sending a skip through my heartbeat. Slowly, I reached - with my left arm - my hand up to his cheek and rested it, wanting to know what made him feel this way.

A soft cry escaped his lips, "P-Princess, I'm... so sorry." His voice was that of a whisper, sending a shiver down my spine. Though, I squinted my eyes in confusion.

"Sorry? For what, kitty?" I asked, wiping a tear with my thumb that had fallen down his cheek.

"Your arm," Chat's voice was faint, but I heard it. I heard it enough to create waves upon waves of shock through my veins. I froze, the hand I had on his cheek fell swiftly, falling onto the soft cushioning of the chaise.

"H-How..." I whispered, unable to get it out. My eyes were no longer fixed on Chat, but instead I stared blankly at the wall.

"Dammit, I could see it underneath your sleeve Marinette!" He yelled, in his voice it was audible he was trying to fight back tears and a lump in his throat. "You don't think I didn't notice, do you? You winced every time you moved it!"

I flinched as he yelled, and glanced at him. There were tears flowing down his cheeks, creating waterfalls that fell to the cushion beneath him. He ran a hand through his messy hair and shut his eyes, squeezing them tight.

"I-I'm sorry, Chat," I said, not knowing what else to say. The stupid cat obviously knows I'm Ladybug, there's probably so much he knows about me. Dammit why did that stupid Akuma have to make him do that!

"How am I supposed to fix you, Marinette? I used my Cataclysm on you! You have poison running through you, and soon it's gonna be everywhere inside of y-" He said, but I quickly cut him off.

"Wait, did you say poison?"

"That's what my kwami, Plagg, said, but seriously you're going to get worse!"

I looked down, biting my bottom lip. How was I supposed to fix this?

"Princess," Chat whispered, and I glanced at him, "Take off your jacket, please." His voice wasn't demanding, but instead pleading. Although I was I hesitant, I obeyed, gritting my teeth whenever I moved my arm.

After I was off, I lifted the short sleeve of my t-shirt, exposing the mark in it's entirety. A gasp escaped Chat Noir, making me cringe. (A/N Not in the way of like Jake Paul cringe, but like the type where she was ashamed cringe lol) I could feel the tip of his hand glide across the wound, and I jerked away in pain.

When I looked up at him, his eyes seemed to be so full of guilt and sadness. The eyes that were once playful and silly were now, gone. Replaced with ones that only made me want to look away.

"It got bigger," He breathed. My eyes widened and I looked down - though it was something I'd been trying to avoid this whole time - seeing it was true. The musty blackness had gone from my upper arm, to the base of my neck and middle of my forearm.

"Baiser," I whispered. Suddenly, a beep came from his stick, and he looked at it, his eyes widening.

"Oh no! I-If I don't get back in time my f-family will be worried sick!" Chat exclaimed quickly jumping off the chaise and heading towards the ladder. He then stopped, turning to me.

Before he could say anything I quickly said, "Go ahead, I'll be fine." He opened his mouth to speak but I stopped him, "Go."

"Fine, but I'll be back in a few hours. Hang tight 'till then, okay?" I nodded my head. "Alright, by, Princess."

"Bye, Chaton," I whispered, waving my left arm as he climbed out the trap door, onto my balcony. A sigh escaped my throat as I glanced down one more time at the injury Chat's Cataclysm triggered.

"Marinette! Wake up and get ready for school!" I heard Maman call from downstairs. I gulped, afraid she would see me with the black spreading across my body.

"Oh, uh, yeah, about that," I said, looking around for an excuse to not attend school today, "I actually feel really sick, and probably can't go to school!"

"Oh dear, well, let me come up and take your temperature!" She called, and my heartrate began to speed up.

"No, no, no! I actually did that already! I have a, uh , 102 degrees, so, I'll just stay up here!" I replied, praying to God she would stay downstairs.

"Well, alright then. Your Papa and I are going downstairs to the bakery, so if you need anything let me know!"

I sighed a breath of relief, and looked down at my arm one last time...
