Band has been apart of my life for four years. Which is all of high school. Ever since 6th grade I wanted to be in band, instead I was put into guitar and piano. In that class I learned how to write music and play guitar and piano. It helped me learn basic notes. Every year I picked band for one of my elective and welding cause I enjoyed them both.

Why is band one this list? You may ask. Well it has three regrets that relates to it. In this chapter I'll tell you one. Band and welding never had a problem until my senior year. Welding was a block class which is 2 hours and band was during that time. So I had to choose. Can you guess which one I took? Well I took welding. After three days I changed to band. Nope I didn't drop welding, but I dropped psychics. I had to be put in beginning classes. That really sucked ass.

They were learning the drums, so every minute I heard monkeys banging on the drums. The kids in there was the weird, emo ones. Ugh. They give me bad headaches and basically I couldn't focus. So me being in a practice room alone, had to teach my self the concert music. 1. Never trust anyone to practice by the self 2. Why focus on monkeys. My teachers focus on them more than me. I'm a teenager so, of course I get distracted by my phone.

I knew I had to practice with the real band, not a YouTube version that sounds better. Our band was really good the first three years of my high school years. They taught us dedication and how to play. These next "band member" were the opposite of us. Which made us lose brain cells. Let me put it this way all the seniors (my class) and maybe 5 underclassmen were good.

Around competition time came around we sound really good at the practices. I really thought we would get gold. You know what. The morning of the competition we started off bad. The boys woke up late and we didn't get to warm up properly. As soon as we started it sounded like shit. Ugh. Why. Maybe because the new kids never competed before. The first song was shit and the second one literally saved us.

When the awards ceremony started our band trumpet player got best solo for him only. Yet one girl, another trumpet player thought the whole section got it. I laughed because her sister was way better than her. I played with her 2 years ago and she's chill. We as a whole band got... *drum roll* ... sliver rating. My heart sunk, a little piece thought we would get it. All the under classmen were happy except the seniors. They wanted gold deep down.
