After spending the afternoon helping Daryl drag the deer back to the prison, you decided to relax in your cell. The deer was a lot heavier than you expected, and your arms and shoulders were kind of sore. Not to mention your legs that carried you in such a long walk.
You had a book in your hands, as you skimmed the pages. You enjoyed reading at times, but you didn't see it as something that could help you during the apocalypse. More of emotional support. It kept you from feeling like you were stuck in a torn world, it gave you an escape.
A small tapping could he heard from the door of your cell, as someone walked in. That someone, none other than Daryl Dixon.
Daryl leaned against a wall, sliding down into the floor so he would be sitting. He looked over at you, his gaze not leaving your body. He couldn't help but to admire your pale skin.
You couldn't help but spring up slightly, setting your book on the small dresser you brought into the cell. You continued sitting up in the bed, with your feet flat against the floor. "Hey.." You mumbled, not really expecting any visitors.
Daryl just grunted in response, tucking his head into his knees. While hugging his knees to his chest.
It didn't take you long to realize he was drunk. Especially by the smell of alcohol that filled your cell when he came in. You just sighed deeply to yourself and stepped out of the bed, and crouched down in front of him. He still didn't look up. You noticed him sweating, and placed the back of your hand to his forehead. He had a bit of a fever, probably from drinking so much.
You simply huffed, and sat next to him. You couldn't do much, except try to soothe him. Being curious as to why he would drink so god damn much.
"You really think I'm sexy?" You heard him mumble. His voice a bit muffled from his knees.
Your cheeks instantly heated up, and you nodded. You were a bit of a shy person, admitting your feelings were difficult.
Daryl just lifted his head, and looked at your tiny figure beside him. You were looking down at your feet, hoping he wouldn't notice your red tinted cheeks.
You lifted your head and looked at him, noticing he was staring at you that whole time. You thought he would look away, but he didn't. He kept his crystal blue eyes stuck to your E/C eyes.
You didn't notice as he started leaning in. You felt his lips press against your's. An instant warm feeling tugged at your stomach. Your eyes were wide, having not expected that.
Without any words, Daryl pulled away and stood up. He quickly left you alone in the cell. His heart pounding too loudly in his head, he couldn't hear your soft calls for him to come back. You just sat there, confused as to why he would leave you like that. He kisses you and left, oh boy the mixed feelings were strong.
You decided not to worry about it.. But you did worry anyways. Although you never left your cell, you stayed inside and continued to read. You hoped he would come back in. You hoped he would say he was sorry.
You couldn't handle being in that cold room anymore. You wanted a shower, a nice warm shower. It was later in the day, around eight. So, everyone was in their cells, either asleep or doing other things.
You wandered down the prison halls, and made your way into the shower room. It didn't take you long to get undressed and step into the warm water. Your long hair stuck to your back as you just stood under the water. Your head filled with thoughts. Mainly stupid ones. Like 'What would happen if a dog and a butterfly mixed? Would it make a doggerfly?'. I know, stupid right?
While you were caught up in your thoughts, and the sound of the water running, you didn't notice someone entering the room. You felt warm hands snake around your waist, but before you could scream you heard a whisper in your ear.
"Hey, hey. Shhh. Its me." A familiar southern accent spoke in a husky voice. You knew exactly who it was. Your heart leapt in your chest, and you couldn't help but to lean back into his embrace.
