It was not easy, at least for Taeyeon. Her life wasn't. Well, it was until her father suddenly wanted her to handle their shop a year ago. To say that she was happy, not even a little.
Once her father decided to make her major in business, she reluctantly said goodbye to her dream job of becoming a doctor. She knew it from the start but never expected it to be true.
She heaved a sigh while on her way to the shop. The shop was nothing beautiful, just some good chef and staff to make the food and drinks be known of.
Once she pushed the door of the shop, she was met with the wide grin of her cashier, Im Yoona. The brightest worker among the others. She was bubbly, and a perfect eater though her body was not even close to fat.
"Unnie! Good morning!" Yoona exclaimed happily.
Taeyeon just chuckled and went to the staff room. Yes, she was the owner, but it didn't mean that she just sat in her office and did nothing so after she checked everything she needed to do on the table, she headed back to Yoona.
"Any messages?" She asked as she scanned the place, looking for a particular worker.
Yoona shook her head as she answered, "Sooyoung unnie is eating her breakfast in the kitchen."
Taeyeon patted her head and headed to the kitchen instead. She hadn't eaten any breakfast yet too. It was still early, 7 am was still early.
Peeking through the open door, she snickered when she saw Sooyoung, eating like there was no tomorrow when it was just a slice of bread, "Taste good?"
Sooyoung, on the other hand, was startled by the intruder who dared to disturb the savory moment of her breakfast. She glared at the intruder, "A good morning won't hurt, you midget."
Said person narrowed her eyes, "Finish your food faster. I know you've been eating a lot just now."
She sat beside Sooyoung and stole the french toast on her plate. Before Sooyoung could say anything, she stuffed a small amount of her breakfast into Sooyoung's mouth.
After their little banter, they talked about nothing particular, just some business talk or yesterday's sales. Well, until Sooyoung suddenly remembered something.
"You went back early yesterday! Someone was searching for you," she said, heading to the door. Taeyeon raised an eyebrow.
They headed back to where Yoona was, getting ready to open the shop officially.
"The pretty customer. The one who always asks for your name," she continued.
Taeyeon connected the dots. Of course, she knew who Sooyoung talked about. The persistent customer that knew nothing but flirted with her, Tiffany Hwang.
Well, she still could remember the first day she ran the shop, she was the one at the counter. Yoona hadn't started working at that time.
Tiffany was surprised to see her, she could read the expression, but the feeling changed quickly. From a surprise one to a naughty one, "You're uncle Kim's daughter, perhaps?" It didn't sound like a question. She didn't reply but just straight asked for the customer's order. She didn't ask how Tiffany knew, but her father could be the one who told her, and besides, it looked like Tiffany was one of the regular customers upon hearing how she addressed her father.
But, Tiffany Hwang knew nothing about losing. She didn't quit after that. Every day, she asked for the same question, but Taeyeon didn't want to let her know. It was not like she was playing hard to get, but, she was too flirty for her liking.

"My name is Tiffany. Tiffany Hwang but you can call me baby, sweetheart, or whichever you prefer, I don't mind honestly," Tiffany flashed her eyesmiles. Taeyeon was amazed by the beautiful view, but again, she was still not going to fall into her trap.
"So... usual breakfast? French toast and a coffee? It'll be right up," and Taeyeon disappeared to her office.

She shivered when she remembered that moment. Gosh, she was very smooth. Taeyeon dismissed Sooyoung and went to Yoona, guiding her since Yoona was still new. She had just started weeks ago, but Sooyoung was an old worker. She had been there since Taeyeon ran the shop. They were friends since high school.
They turned their attention when they heard the bell ring, indicating someone was coming. Taeyeon tried very hard not to roll her eyes. She was met with the flirty customer and her friend, who looked so cold, the 'ice princess,' as Sooyoung named her.
Both of them were walking towards the counter; she embraced herself for another shot of the day, "Yes? May I take your order?" Taeyeon faked her smile while gripping Yoona's hand.
"Oh, hi cutie. I missed you! I didn't get to meet you yesterday. I'm sorry," the flirty customer replied.
Taeyeon cringed at the new nickname.
Yucks, I'm dying.
