~~Emilia's POV~~

She wouldn't wake up. There was blood all over the seat, her skin was ghastly, cold, wrong.

Emilia didn't want to believe this was happening, not again. Someone she loved was leaving, again.

Why did this happen to her? Over and over, a repeated cycle. Loving, losing, loving.

"Stay with me, Sophia." Words she couldn't stop from flowing out of her mouth, even though she wouldn't open her eyes. She wouldn't wake up.

"Ma'am, Dr. Jacobs has arrived at the safehouse." Emilia had barely heard what he said, everything feeling so far away. She gave a slight nod. She needed to get it together.

"How far away are we? Tell him to have everything set up and ready. Did you describe the situation?" Emilia finally looked away from Sophia lying in her lap and at Luca. Her eyes guarded, dark and sunken. Luca hasn't seen her this way in a while, this is something truly serious.

"Yes, everything has been told and he is getting ready. We're about five minutes away." Luca swallowed, noticing how an anger sparked in Emilia's eyes.

"Five minutes? You think we have five more fucking minutes? Step on it! Now." Emilia knew time would run out soon, she was so cold. She had lost a lot of blood.

The men managed to get away, but Emilia saw one man in particular. Sitting in the back of one of the cars, it was the man who was long lost. Who was wanted, and a man her father had always tried to track down.

Speeding up, the car finally whipped into the driveway. The large stone gates open to reveal a huge block looking building.

Stopping in front of the building, Dr. Jacobs steps out and walks down the stairs with two extra nurses. They help bring Sophia inside while Emilia follows, and as they bring her into the infirmary, one of the nurses stop Emilia.

"We need to have full focus. There is no time to argue with us or fight against this. If you want any chance for her to live through this we need to get started ASAP. Understood?" Emilia wouldn't have liked for anyone to speak to her this way, but the nurse was right. This is something serious and she needed to find out who did this.

Emilia gave Sophia one last kiss, her eyes starting to water but she stopped them. She needed to get it together and get started with her search.

"Eric, Halle, and Luca follow me. Lupia and Jake stay with Sophia. You two let me know if anything changes, no hesitations. Let's go." Emilia begins to walk away, feeling a fire in her soul that she hasn't felt in a long time. They would get what the deserved. Once and for all.

~~Sophia's POV~~

"Dad stop it! Let go of him!!" I watch as my father grabs my brother by the back of his neck.

"Shut up you stupid bitch. Remember, this is your fault." He throws my brother to the ground like a rag doll, making my brother slam his head against the corner of the glass table.

Blood. Dripping slowly onto the ground.

"No!" I drop to the ground, reaching for him but not being able to touch as one of my fathers friends yank me back by my hair.

"You're not going anywhere. You're going to watch." Crying, I watch as my father begins to beat my brother. Him screaming in agony. I watch as he looks up at me, dark pits as eyes and sunken cheeks, blood leaky from his nose and mouth.

"Why'd you let me die Sophie?" His voice croaks out. "Why'd didn't you help me? Why didn't you help me Sophie?!" He yells out repeatedly, each time his voice getting darker and more demonic.

"Make it stop. Please make it stop." I covered my ears, not wanting to hear his tortured screams. "Make it stop.."

~~Gloriana's POV~~

"Gloriana? How did you lose her?? You have to go there!"

"Mama, soon. I will go soon. Our last encounter wasn't the best and I stormed out without saying goodbye. She barely spoke to me." Gloriana sits behind her desk, thinking of Sophia. Ever since she left, she couldn't stop daydreaming about her. Even if there was a bit of a distraction, she managed to slip inside her mind every moment or so. She wanted to see her and apologize. But right now isn't the time.

"Make it quick, Gloriana. Your father has sent his men. You need to keep her away from that family."

"His men? What do you mean?" Gloriana sits up quickly, her heart rate increasing. "Ma? What do you mean?"

"I have to go. He's coming." Click.

Sighing, Gloriana throws her phone on the table. Putting her head into her hands.

This trip would have to happen sooner than later.

~~Emilia's POV~~

"It's him. It's her father. After all of this time he chose to attack now. Why?" Emilia shakes her head and looks in Luca's direction.

"I'm not sure. But who was he really targeting? Her or me?" Luca walks around the table, skimming over the documents.

"Maybe you. He never liked your father."

"That's true. But the look Sophia had when I showed her the picture of him was as if she's seen a ghost. She looked terrified." Emilia tried hard to concentrate on the research and tracking him down. But it's been almost two hours and still no word on Sophia's condition.

Lupia walks in,"Miss. Rosario." She looks at Emilia with a distant look in her eyes that Emilia noticed. Bad news.

Emilia nods and sets down the folder she had in her hands and walks by those surrounding the table and out her office, closing the door.

"Is everything okay?" Before Lupia could answer, Emilia begins to walk in the direction of the infirmary.

"Yes, but-" Lupia rushes to catch up to her, Emilia walking quickly down the hallway.

"Continue, Lupia."

"But she's in a coma! She lost a lot of blood." Emilia's walk falters for a second or two, before she begins walking at the same pace as before.

Emilia pushes open the infirmary doors, spotting Sophia on one of the beds hooked up to multiple machines. The doctor then comes in with a grim look.

"She's lost a lot of blood." He cuts right to the chase, knowing Emilia didn't want all the extra bullshit. "We did a blood transfusion which saved her at the last minute, but we won't know how long she'll be out. It took two hours to take the glass shards from out of her and make sure she was still receiving enough blood."

The room was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. Hell, you could hear a feather slowly cascading closer and closer to the ground. Emilia couldn't believe it. Another person hurt because they were around her. Exactly what she didn't need to happen.
