They say it's never too late to stop being afraid and there is no one else here so why should I wait? And in the blink of an eye, the past begins to fade.

These were two of my cousin, Abby's favorite lyrics to her favorite band, Shinedown. She loved them so much she wrote them down and put them in her keepsake box. However, she didn't just do this with song lyrics. If she saw or heard something that she felt could create positivity or help people motivate themselves, (or herself) then she would write them down. That was just her character.
Right now I'm siting in Abby's bedroom on the floor with her keepsake box. She absolutely loved to decorate and create so of course the box is decorated. I have all of her medals, awards, pictures of friends and family, and her favorite quotes wretten down scattered all around me as I'm reading her favorite lyrics to her favorite band. As I'm looking around at her in these happy photos, always smilimg, always laughing, I can't help but to smile back. Before she died while we were teens thirteen years ago, she basically changed my life forever. I could never thank her enough.
